My PR card expires end of this year. If I don't get a DM by then and I have to apply to renew for travel and spend money for their incompetence that could have been avoided, I will be very angry!

Admins, I've noticed there is a DM date set for me in the tracker. That's not true as I'm still waiting for it. could you please correct that? 4 days between test and DM is too good to be true.

Your timeline is really close to mine, and from the trackers, I see that the applications sent to NS office are really low I wonder why it's taking too long. someone recommended I get the detailed records but I was told it will take a month for that to be processed.. I am just tired of waiting

I had several GCMS notes. It comes with the same result every time so I am tired of asking for it. Another should be coming in Aug. It takes a month but you will see the same thing again and again

Mine is with Hfx office. 3+ months since I completed my test and no updates yet. Just frustrating, Halifax is too slow processing applications.

that reminded me my colleagues sharing being laid back as something they are proud of as a Haligonian it is not fun though when you try to get things done

I am in the same boat. My file is in Halifax office. I passed my exam on March 19 and had my interview on June 10. I have been recently told by the Halifax office that my Oath ceremony is expected in fall!

For god’s sake 3 months for each step? If it is okay to share why did they call for an interview? What did they ask? Congrats by the way. Ours with Halifax, no update since April 13 after passing the test so it is about to be 4 months

lol, Halifax ppl are relaxed, but that doesn't meant they should take that long to process one application. Probably they are just sitting in Cape Breton and enjoying the weather lol

Your son doesn't require anything (Test, oath, Language Proof and even BG checks, if your child is very young). So, it will remain in Progress - that is not an issue. As long as your status is progressing, you should be good.

You can apply as soon as you receive the citizenship certificate. You'll have to wait for the citizenship certificate to arrive by mail.

If we are outside of Canada, is it possible to attend the online oath ceremony from outside Canada or do we need to be physically present in Canada during the online ceremony?

Yep. While we are waiting on pins and needles.. I haven't seen my parents in 2 years and I so want to travel to see them but I'm worried if I do that I will miss something or cause a delay ... I've been waiting for so long.. and with no updates or clear timelines it's just so frustrating

Same here. I called them and said I want to go back home. They said to do a web form and they will postpone the task that's coming up for me. So, I am stuck.
