No calling within Canada!
Tried again and got connected. This time it was a dead end as they couldn't connect me to any agent at this time. I will try tomorrow morning at 8am(EST).

I think 3 to 5 months is standard after the test. I would be worried if you are the only one remaining for DM of your month, which means all March applicants received DM but you.....

Thanks, that makes sense. I will keep on waiting then. Ive called CIC, they also told me that there is only 1 office in Quebec that processes all the applications (compared to 3 offices in Ontario), so applications in Quebec is slower in general. Hope I see something over the next 2 months....

Not really. I think it's not very helpful. Have you? The only thing you might know from the notes is if your file is routine or not. Which again doesn't help much besides knowing.

I didnt request them either. I called CIC, they said that applications in Quebec takes a bit longer to process, because there is only 1 office in Quebec that processes all the applications (compared to 3 in Ontario), so yah.. there you go, guess we still have to wait..

I had the same problem for the past 2 weeks, I just kept on calling many times over different days and eventually got through ... I dont know what happened to their phone systems, it's a lot worse than what it use to be.

Their answer when you call is scripted most of the times, similar to their emails. They might as well install bots on the other side to answer your questions. I think either a lot of their employees left with so much backlog or they just don't care anymore, either way, waiting patiently and praying for good luck is your best friend here!

I knew the Montreal office is the slowest from what others post here. I think it was even before the pandemic. My hope to get the oath this year is fading. Probably will get it next year around March. How unlucky we are to apply around the time we did!!

Honestly I am glad they haven't returned back my application yet. At least I can sleep at night peacefully thinking about this!
