Hi,

I got a fingerprint request from
CIC-VancouverCitize@cic.gc.ca

Is this a normal process? I have not seen other applicants getting a fingerprint request.
Yes. I have also been requested back in December, and have done it via the commissionaire's office in Calgary, as no RCMP doing in my local area due to COVID19. I've been PR since 2009 though, hence I think that was the reason as fingerprints usually expire within 10 years or so. Not sure in your case.

I agree. Regular processing applicants will not get test invitation I would say maybe until the end of this year or even next year. Urgent applicants need to clear first and who knows how many of them are in the queue for 2020.
Some non urgent applicants have received invites.
This one is in French but it is a Montreal January 2020 applicant:
https://forum.immigrer.com/topic/170696-demande-de-citoyenneté-2020/?do=findComment&comment=1265335404
Here is another application below, not urgent:
I noticed a friend has been invited to the online test as below timeline:
Application Received: Jan 3rd, 2020
AOR: March 12, 2020
Test Invitation: Jan 20, 2021
As well as some other reports I have seen on Facebook as well.

Got info from the February thread that someone with an AOR on 06-Feb-2020 got their online test email.
It was reported on some FB group.
Let's hope ours start coming in the next few weeks/months.
I think you mean his application was received on Feb 6, 2020. Feb 6, 2020 AOR would mean they are not a February 2020 applicant, but a 2019 applicant.

My apologies, yes I meant the application was received on Feb-06-2020
It was a non-urgent application - that's why I deemed it fit to post here.
Urgent applications are a whole different ball game

When they ask for consent to check for travel history and tax filing history in the app, does anyone know if they are looking for only the last 5 years eligibility period or since the beginning of time?

That seems odd, especially if the poster isn't qualified for urgent processing; having a hard time wrapping my head around how 2020 applicants are getting invites when applicants from 2019 are not (Barring urgent ones, of course.)
