@legalfalcon Does that mean we are likely to need to redo our medicals? They have just expired, about a week ago. All stages of our application were passed in the summer, just waiting for a final decision. We're PNP Outland. I really don't want any more delays and a remedial is another £800. Will IRCC request another medical before they approve? Thanks

The medicals have to be valid when you apply as well as when you land. If your meds have expired, IRCC may extend them or ask you for new medicals.

I really hope and pray that IRCC considers giving Canadian citizenship to all inland applicants whose PR applications are long over due.. especially if the PR application spills into next year. Given that the average processing time for the PR is 6 months or even less for a couple of lucky ones, it implies that all March 2020 applicants should have gotten their PR in September 2020 and would be due for applying for citizenship by September 2022 (For those of us that have been in Canada for at least two years under temporary residence status and haven’t travelled since after our expected due date of September 2020). I think that’s a fair thing to do, afterall they were able to give preference to recent graduates from Canadian institutions who didn’t have to fulfil all the usual requirements for PR.

Is your security done, that is usually the last step.

Hi @legalfalcon ,

My medical results have expired on Feb 2021. As per the latest GCMS, they have not been extended. I am planning for an upfront re-medical examination. What are your thoughts on this? Should I wait for the re-medical request from IRCC? My CoR is India. All Stages passed except security. I am really confused. Kindly help?

Currently, IRCC is advising applicants to not get medicals done on their own unless asked. However, it is your choice.

Did you do biometrics immediately after submitting application in March 2020? or are you bio-exempt?
Biometrics was done in March of 2020itself

AOR March 25, 2020
CEC Inland + dependent

GSMS notes from August note Eligibility passed June 2020
Our expired medicals were extended on the portal July 31, 2021 You passed the medical exam
Expected further progress by now but still silence...

Do you have any advice @legalfalcon, should we request CBSA notes or wait more patiently? Assuming we are under some enhanced screening or something? I have read previous posts about writ of mandamus but assuming that is all out of the window due to COVID.
