3000 is not a large number. Is it?
the 300,000 applications in the backlog may be a exaggerated number I guess.
Maybe the backlog before covid is also counted in this because there are always backlogs in IRCC and now dude to COVID the numbers have increased and the number of officers have decreased.

If they want to they can process it quickly but Don't know what is going on

There is no clear sign that things have changed since the announcement on June 21 2021.
We are just speculating here. But nothing has changed. There is a sign some Expired-Coprs have been contacted. Even then I see some Expired Coprs still waiting. So all in all nothing has changed.

I am expecting things will take a turn in September/October.

Hopefully, they will. If IRCC is serious about getting people over, they will have to start issuing PPRs otherwise if 7 September passes and we still see no action then people should give up on them totally.

can give up, but will they refund the money? highly unlikely they will issue this year.

If September 7th would matter, we’d already gotten our PPRs as it’s three weeks left only. Isn’t that right?
