Received my GCMS notes today and I found out that my application has been assigned to CB01126, who is known for slow processing time.
My file hasn't been reviewed since June last year and criminality is still in progress because biometrics is still pending when I have done my biometrics last year as well. LOL

Has anyone been able to successfully move their application forward by calling their MPs and filing complaints against the officer?

Mine was assigned to CB01126. ANd file hasn't been touched since May. I contacted my MP this week. MP office said will get back to me by next week.

My stream is PNP - Although I didn't claim points for an arranged job offer, I think that my provincial nomination points are tied to me being employed in my NOC in AB until my PR is processed. I've not updated AINP of the new job either.

Would this make a difference here?

You can work for any employer and under any NOC. However, if you applied for an occupation in demand, got a PNP based on a job offer in province etc. you ideally should be working in that NOC and in the province..

So I heard from a friend of mine (they were on a call with someone at IRCC through their work as they are a client of a client) and they were told that IRCC year end is March 31st, and that they are pushing through/processing as many applications as possible. I'm wondering if that's why so many June/July/August applications are getting through faster?

If IRCC have a measurement for success, it probably encompasses not just numbers, but how long the applications take to process? If they push through all the summer applicants, their processing time average for 2020 won't be so high. All the summer applicants probably have everything basically finalised in the system, with autumn/winter applicants probably still having some things they are waiting on. If they wait until April 1st, and THEN start processing Jan-May 2020, sure at the beginning the average processing time metric for 2021 would be high, but the average would balance out during the remainder of the year if they get back to processing in a timely manner. Does that make sense?

So if during April, all the applicants from Jan-May suddenly start getting approved, we know IRCC was intentionally holding off because of their own internal metrics. But if it continues as usual, and we're still not being looked at, I think it might be the case that Biometrics screwed us up. Anyone from Jan-May had to wait until October-ish to get Biometrics done. This is over the 30-90 day limit IRCC usually have. Even though they said it didn't matter, it might be that the system wasn't sert up to account for this, and so reshuffled everyone from those earlier months back into the pool because Biometrics wasn't completed before the requested date. In that case, we really are just all sitting in limbo, and either IRCC knows this, and doesn't care, or they don't know, but still don't care, because it seems like everyone from Jan-May is constantly calling their phone line and complaining about the timeframe! If we're sitting in limbo, we are literally waiting for case workers to notice our files in the system.

That's my current conspiracy theory, could be a load of hogwash, but the remnants of hope are giving me some comfort!

@legalfalcon what are your views on this? I saw this by someone else on the another forum. Does ircc really finish their work year on 31st March?

did any fsw inland get any progress from last 2-3 months?

@legalfalcon what do you think can be a valid explanation of why they are not picking fsw inland files who are single applicants and staying inside Canada and especially when their job experience related documents are verified already and its just matter of picking file by an officer

I would love to know which logic I am missing.

There are many application that are approved, and some have eligibility passed but the security has not been initiated. Unless the travel restrictions are relaxed, the progress will be slow. IRCC has moved its focus to family reunification, student visas, CEC applications, and work permits.

“
· Your application was received via your account on March 6, 2020.

· Your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied,

• The security background verification is currently valid.
• The criminal background verification is currently valid.

· Your application is currently being processed at the Case Processing Centre (CPC-O) in Ottawa, Ontario.”

can you guide me ?
Do you think my security is complete. In my last gcms , eligibility, criminality was passed
Security was left blank.
Info sharing was complete.

Our medical was conducted on the 4th of February, 2020 so it stands expired as of now but prior to replying to you, I checked that the IRCC website says, "You do not need a medical exam. We will message you if this changes."

Based on the trend I've seen, You should be getting extension or remedical request soon and then copr in a matter of days after that [ If all other stages are passed]. Was there any ghost update or email when your app changed to "you do not need a medical exam"?

Most likely yes. “Valid” here indicates, that the documents required for the specific stage are “legal, not expired, and accepted by IRCC,” and no further input is required by the applicant.

Valid here can be interpreted as completed.

I don't see any logic here. FSW- Inland are already in Canada, so travel restrictions is not correct logic.

Atleast for applicant with no dependent, or with all dependent in Canada.

Have already raised webform last week, asking for reason why my file FSW-Inland not being processed for security since last Oct. Let's see what crappy answer I get.

But planning to raise same webform biweekly.

Unfortunately, the state of affairs is poor. You will have to just wait it out.
