@caipsnotes Strangely my R10 was done on 11th march but after that nothing happened. My eligibility is still says not started as per Web form and gcms. Can i do something about it? This is very strange. Its more than 8 months now.

Hi, is it an Express Entry application or paper based, category?

Thanks and you are inland? Anything noteworthy from the Gcms Notes in the "notes" section?
Yes i am inland. Nothing noteworthy. On 11th March program assistant had promoted the application and everything is ok R10 ok. they asked for rcmp which i already submiited on 18th march and was received by them. and then nothing. Thats it.

Thanks for all your responses. It's unfortunate but the delay is likely administrative in nature. There is usually not much an applicant can do in such situations but wait; have you tried seeking the help of your local MP? It's an avenue you can explore.

Good news guys Just got my rfv 4 hours ago and didn't check my mail until my wife did.
Aor march 2020 medical passed 10 May biometrics August 12. Gcms notes in septembre said all was passed and eligibility ok.
Pnp french speaking ontario.
I have the vfs center in my country so i think I have to make a schedule before.

What are usually the next steps and the errors to avoid ?

Just relax. This is a very good sign and you seem to be almost close to the finish line.

Biometrics as such is not a specific stage, but was introduced and is used to conduct the criminality checks, so until your biometrics are on file your criminality will continue to show in progress. Once the biometrics are in, the criminality will be passed.

Security starts after the eligibility is conclusively passed by the officer. For a more detailed discussion on this see my previous post at #2,521

Your application is doing well and you need not worry. Once you receive your GCMS notes, you will have a much clearer picture and you can also share you notes for more discussion with other fellow forum members.
Please what is the difference between criminality , security & "background check"?

Under this link, you have an explanation for criminality and security. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but my understanding is criminality+security=backround check.

@wjillm is correct.

Background check is a generic term for criminality check, security screening and information sharing. See this link

Hey guys,
I am wondering if my situation is normal or not.
AOR is March 4th,
BIL arrived March 5th,
Medical Passed: March 6th
Biometrics actually given on October 14th.

There are no updates whatsoever on my profile at all. Apart from the Biometrics one. I am CEC Inland. I am wondering if this is a common scenario or not.
