I called had chance to talk to one of service canada person. And he told me that before pandemic whoever had bil or appointment are prioritize first.
but how come they are calling people with aor in may or august
@San naam well that's strange since someone in whitby (GTA) got a call today - May APR, while plenty of us (March AOR) are waiting for the call. I guess these Service Canada employees don't know Sorting. This is so frustrating!

Hi
What if you’re not in Canada? What are the steps then?

Also, I submitted my biometrics last year for a PR app that got refused. I reapplied this year. Now with the new biometric exemption will I be eligible under it? I checked validity using the link that tells of your biometrics validity and I got mine as expired on the date my last pr got refused. Does this mean I have to do my biometrics again?

Any help will be sincerely appreciated!
Hi, sorry to hear about the prior refusal. As per the recently announced biometrics guidance please check these links
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/campaigns/biometrics/facts.html
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/notices/biometrics-exemption-permanent-residents.html
Find out if you need to give biometrics

As for the Gcms Notes, if you are not in Canada you use the help of Canadian friend or family member to request it on your behalf. The person does not have to be in Canada, just a citizen or a PR; as the last resort you can use a 3rd party

Hi guys!
Forgot to update my info here earlier.
Got my PPR on Sept 12.
March 10 AOR,
Completed Bio on August 24.

Eligibility wasn't started as of 10th of august when I called + webform reply.

So everything happened within a month or less.
Single applicant.
Congratulations!!!!!!!

Can you confirm which country you are from? Apparently PPR's are getting triggered for countries where VFS/Embassies are opening up, just wanted to know if this is what is really happening?

How many of you are waiting for the officer to approve Eligibility?

Mine was passed by the analyst.
Criminality, medical - passed
Security Not Started.

VO - CPC Ottawa. I feel like there is a delay in approvals in this office as my file hasn't moved since mid-June.

Is anyone else experiencing something similar?

Hi guys!!!!

Just received the following reply from IRCC to the webform raised last week:

The Case Processing Center in Ottawa, Ontario, established that your application meets the eligibility requirements, you may be contacted via your account if additional information is needed.
-The background verifications are currently valid.
-The security background verifications are currently valid.
-The criminality background verifications are currently valid.

I have read on few threads that 'currently valid' means passed. Can someone throw some more light on this or guide me to the appropriate thread?

You betcha. My file didn’t move since March until recently I received a ghost update. Same Ottawa office.

God have mercy on us all.

I have already given biometrics last year and the biometrics number is appearing on my profile as well. But still under the details section it is written "We have not received your fingerprints. Check your biometrics request message below for details." Did anyone profile updated with "exempted" or something?

I gave biometrics in Nov 2018 and was not able to give during my PR application. I just checked my account and it says biometric submitted 24th sept 2020. My AOR is 10th March
