I am sick of hearing `hope` and `wait`. We have been waiting for biometrics to be opened for over 5 months without any news. How they can do this with us, who are already in Canada and gave biometrics before, everyday we work and pay taxes, contribute to Canada's economy. But they treat us so unfair by letting wait forever. Get up every morning with depressing and sucks.

Me and my wife are in located in different countries due to covid situation and have given separate addresses during application. I have already received AOR with medicals passed. I want to know if changing county after AOR is possible. If yes, will it affect my application potentially delaying it. You're response would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all. Got my GCMS notes today. Submitted a request for them 2 weeks ago.

Can someone help me decode this?

Assessments
Eligibility: Passed
Security:
HIRV:
Criminality: In Progress
Org Crime:
Medical: Passed
Misrepresentation:
Info Sharing: In Progress
Other Reqs: Cancelled
Final:

I typed out the above because I can't copy and paste anything from the PDF and don't want to pay for Acrobat. (Any suggestions for copying and pasting PDF text?)

For the other reqs, I was asked for Proof of Work and provided documents. In my notes at the end of the document, I saw the agent say that they are satisfied.

That update came on July 17th.

The document is 148 pages. Where should I be looking for useful information within that?

Thanks!

P.S AoR March 19th, Medical Passed May 12th

Your file is undergoing background checks ( https://help.gcmsnotes.com/code/aor-to-ppr#background-check) which includes criminality, info sharing and security screening. Security screening only starts when Eligibility Review is passed which you have. Security will be blank (redacted) when underway/completed and accompanied by s15/s16 marked on your file as well. To see more about this https://gcmsnotes.com/all-about-security-screening/

You can always take a screenshot of the PDF file if copy/paste is not possible, make sure to redact any personal info before sharing.

As with the number of pages involved, see the last few pages of the file starting with "Notes" which contain comments . You can also Google for OCR tools to make the PDF searchable.

Does passing security involve biometrics? I found a note from June 25th that includes the text 'Decision: Criminality Passed' - is there a reason why my assessment page still says it's in progress?

Does passing the Eligibility Review mean that, barring any criminal activity which I certainly don't have, my application is looking likely to be approved?

Currently paper files are not being processed at all. All paper applications are pending since March. They haven't been touched.

You can take screen shots of the notes and paste them here. You can use this website to generate links and place them here. You can also insert images using the tools in the forum.

If the note states that they are satisfied then you need not worry.

Just make sure that your eligibility is passed by an officer. If it is then your eligibility is passed and your security should be in progress.
To see how the note should look like se my previous post at #3,199

To read your GCMS notes follow

1. See page 2, this is where the summary of your application is. To read on the stages of an application see https://bit.ly/3kwN3w3
Based on what you have typed, it seems that your eligibility is passed and your security is in progress.

2. On page 2, if you see security as blank, and you see s15/16 on the top right corner of the page, then your security assessment is redacted under section 15 or 16. To read on section 15 /16 see https://bit.ly/2F1PrdV

3. Now go to the last 3-7 pages of your notes. This is where the officers enter the details notes. The notes will be numbers and dated. They are from most recent to the oldest.
See your note on eligibility and compare it with my previous post. If you see a note by an officer, then your eligibility is passed.

4. If your security is in progress, then all security related info is redacted from the GCMS notes. To read on how security is done, and the procedure, see https://bit.ly/2DxSQ42

If you have any further questions, ask.

Hope this helps!

Biometrics is a separate step from security screening in the application processing stages.
Are your biometrics outstanding?
Eligibility Review is the most important stage which you have passed, other stages will take it's due course.
All the best.

AOR Received.

I had received an eAOR on March 6, and biometrics required mail on March13. I haven’t given any biometrics yet, but last morning I received an email asking me to pay for Right of Permanent Residence Fee; I have already made the payment, which means they are still processing files without biometrics. I am not sure what it really means, hopefully you all will get an update soon. I have been without a status since January 8, jobless since then just living of my savings, hopefully it will make a few people feel better who are still employed and whining about the wait periods.

Good luck everyone.
