58 days passed no update. All I have got is AOR. I know they never promised timelines for each stage. Its human nature we make predictions based on the statistical data.. I never sponsored or being sponsored but still elitist to hear whether I am eligible or not. Being professional working in Government for so many years and paying tax I thought it should be easy to bring my wife and stay here together. Its all frustration and everyday I hope to hear something positive. Hope God listen to everyone prayers

Oh that is weird did u try to call them ?

No.. its upto them when they want to look at my file as 12 months has not elapsed.
Good call. There is no value or point in calling. You only just applied. Would be a waste of your time to do so.

I sent an email last week with updated letter of employment due to recent raise in salary along with recent notice of assessment for 2018. In the past i have included 2016 and 2017 tax assessment. Mine was a legit marriage followed by so many supporting documents. Provided so many pictures maybe few hundreds then few hundred pages of communication. Got all marriage documents notarized. Provided insurance papers where my wifes name is included. In her id passport is my name

Two points below that should be followed by all applicants.

1. Never send additional information that isn't asked for. More often than not they don't even look at it and it sits in a pile somewhere.
2. To clarify, did you provide more than 20 pictures? If yes, you've only done yourself and others a disservice. They ask for no more than 20 because that's all they need. Providing more means the officer has to spend more time shredding or tossing or sifting through unnecessary proof as opposed to processing the actual file.

For everyone: please follow the checklist. It is there for a reason. I understand people believe sending additional documents or more proof will make the case seem stronger or will prompt the officer to look at the file but it's not the case.

Thanks. Probably this was my last email to them regarding any update of information as nothing will change. with the application I have provided 50 pics with descriptions but in an separate envelope I have submitted almost few hundred pics with general descriptions for each. I was expecting they would at least let me know results at different stage of processing. I have received nothing after AOR. Hopefully one day they might open my file and let me know my decision. I cant leave my wife for their decision but I can go somewhere where I can stay with my family.

I understand but there is no benefit to not following the checklist or sending additional information that is not asked for, so don't worry about doing that in future. That's way, way too many pictures and it really does slow things down.

What you're experiencing is frustrating, I know, but it is completely normal. It's the way the process goes. You only just applied! Try to remember the target processing time is 12 months. It will be well worth it in the end.
