Guys quick update

Done with the oath..Oath was on Friday 1 Nov 2019 @SCARBOROUGH..The event takes around 1.5 hrs... Good Luck Guys
@admin Thanks for updating the spreadsheet.

my experience on a personal note .once i was qualified for applying citizenship ..i thought it would take atleast oneyear to process my application .I haven't had a great life in terms of Job (iam into IT) i was on and off jobs which didn't leave me a good taste in terms of job but over all i was kind of ok .I didn't Think much about loosing my INDIAN citizenship however at last when i was to go to oath (which happened really quick i thought it would take at least 1-2 months between Test and Oath like others) i was confused and little worried about loosing my INDIAN citizenship the reason being i have some Agricultural Land and few properties wich iam expected to inherit.but with one day to think ,i spoke to few people here and they advised one of us (me and mywife) should retain with INDIAN citizenship .so i decided to withdraw her application for citizenship.
My lesson learnt :Think about how to do want to deal with properties back home and how easy or difficult would it be to liquidate and move that to CANADA ..Eventually all of us would get citizenship but thinking about how to deal with properties back home is also some thing we need to do.

Note: iam very greatful ,Thankful and privileged to have a Canadian citizen ship.

definetly

Hey Guys,

My wife oath ceremony was on 7th nov and she is citizen now

She had test on 25 September, it was calgary office, please update the sheet.

Thanks for all the help and best of luck everyone

Hi Everyone,
My family and I became Canadian citizens yesterday...Oath ceremony held yesterday in Calgary. PR cards dropped... citizenship certificates received... passports loading...
This long journey which started from PR application date in May 2014 has come to an end in Nov 2019. Here come the privileges of having the citizenship of a great country as Canada.
Thanks all for your contributions at the tail end of the journey. I wish all those who are still in the process the very best ahead.

Regards....

Hi just a quick question. Did you have to surrender your naija passport?

Hi just a quick question. Did you have to surrender your naija passport?
Not at all. Even though they asked us to come with passports, they never asked for them. They only asked for the oath invitation letters and PR cards which we had to give to them as the citizenship certificates would replace them from that day.
Also remember that Nigeria supports dual citizenship, so they would never take anyone's Nigerian passport.
Sure this clears your doubts.

We were required to submit our results to Scarborough, ON (local processing centre). Then, we received the test invite for Hamilton, ON. No Vancouver for us.

Hi team, I received the test invite two weeks ago and still NO updates on my ECAS. Any comment. Worried about if it is gonna take that long to update ECAS when I write the test tomorrow.

Hello Team,

I don't regularly check application status. When I checked today, it shows Decision Made but I haven't received any email or anything. I wrote my citizenship test in end of August.

What would be next steps? Please advise.

Thank you,
