Just received an email acknowledging receipt of my application. I was concerned that my application would be returned. I only inputted information limited to my Employment in Canada.

So... My wife and I got the request for FP on July 9. No e-mail. I called them on July 18, and gave all my app details. The agent told me he requesed for both myself and all concurrent applicants. I received my request on July 22. Because my wife did not receive hers, we decided that she needed to call them and ask herself for the letter.
In parallel, we scheduled the FP for July 26. We went to the local police; they did not ask for the letter, the app number, anything. Results were mailed to us (not to CIC's local office) quickly - the following Wednesday (3 business days). Yesterday, we mailed them to the local CIC (Scarborough), and we hope they are delivered by either by Tuesday (Monday is a holiday...)
My wife's request for FP came in on July 29 via e-mail, based on her request.

Anyway, just sharing our experience. Back to the waiting game.

Hello, Just received finger print request 2 hours ago via email. Completed the fingerprints right away thru RCMP accredited agency. ECAS doesn't show any correspondent yet.
