Hi everyone,

Just checked my online statut to see that they changed my home adress.
I live in Brampton Ontario, now its Alberta.

Is that going to affect the process?

I just changed it but it says its gonna take 15-20 days to be updated.

Tthanks

Depends upon the stage of your processing. I have read in their manuals that change in address will trigger a change in office leading to transfer of file unless the current office believes that the change in address was to circumvent processing, hide information etc. in which case they can continue to process the application at the current office.

Hi,

I somehow missed the part about 5 years on the form.. I have only provided information for time since I was here in Canada.
Would my form be returned, or would I be contacted for further information? Appreciate your help
Which form, the main CIT002 form?

If you did not provide the full 5 year details, then chances are very high that it will be returned
CIC would not contact any prospective applicant for further information in case of incomplete forms (this would have happened only if you received AOR first).

Hi,

Appreciate your response. Not sure how to proceed. Would it be wise to send a new application to avoid long delay before re-sending the application.

Would love to hear your suggestion. Thanks!

Couple of options:
a. Send a brand new application (take your time, check everything). Add a cover letter explaining you had sent another application before, but because you noticed mistakes you are sending a second application. Request them to disregard application 1.

b. Do nothing. Await outcome of application 1. Await for return of application or AOR. Note that even CIC folks are human and can send you AOR (by not catching a mistake). It could happen, but chances are low.

Option a has not been endorsed by many here (based on comments i read), as it would confuse CIC for sending many applications.
Its your call.

Hi,

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond @cursor18

I think I will await their response, seems to be a logical call. Just in case there are other errors, which I may not know of.

If it is returned it would give me an opportunity to update all the incorrect/ missing information at once.

Would be awesome if they do give me an AOR, since this may be a very common omission. I tried looking into returned app reasons, to no avail. Fingers crossed at this point.

Cheers!

Thank you!

If this helps the folks who submitted their applications in March 2019. Just spoke to IRCC rep and he informed me that they are currently processing March 2019 applications

Cheers!

Thank you @party2050. I actually tried to call the IRCC because I was concerned I haven't got my AOR yet, but the queue was just insane so I didn't get to talk to any agent. That's good to know!

For income tax portion (12 b), I put details for last 3 years in which I filed taxes. But for 2 previous years of eligibility (2014/2015) I did not put anything. I should have put not required to filed tax and taxes not filed. Will this be considered incomplete application?

Hi Everyone,

Do we need to pay for the citizenship certificate extra ($75) or is it all included in Application fees ($630) ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.
