Hi Julian. In the section "Make sure you are eligible", it states this point:Question:
I submitted my application on March 27 and they already received it on March 29.
About that tax filing, I have not filed my tax from 2018 when I submitted my application so I put "no" under 2018 tax filed column. But I filed all my taxes from 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and put "yes" under all the tax file columns of those 4 years. I became Permanent Resident in October 2016. Between 2014 to October 2016 I was under Post Graduate Work Permit.
Is this okay? The 3 years doesn't have to be the last 3 years right?
- if required to do so, have filed personal income taxes for at least 3 years within the 5 year period
