Thanks a lot man !Hi @kar_21, see this link here for an explanation on ghost updates: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/application-stages-what-they-mean-mep-ip1-ip2-ghost-update-version-2019.612656/. Hope this helps.
Mine was previously refused because of the following reasons
1) The restaurant i worked at was sold after 8 months of me working there, (Sept to April) but name remained the same
2) I continued working there for additional time ( up until September ) to get experience
3) Only the former owner gave me a reference letter , the new owner was mean when I left after gaining the experience I needed so he refused to provide a reference letter
4) I submitted the letter , a L.O.E, t4 and paystubs at the beginning, but the former owner made a mistake with the dates in the letter he gave me ( he said sept 2016 to April instead of sept 2017 to April 2018)
5 ) When I noticed the mistake , I submitted a webform and attached a reference letter reflecting the correct date, but that's when things went wrong
6)The new reference letter I submitted , must have confused the officer, because In my refusal letter , the officer stated I didn't work for 1yr and I was not eligible . This was because the officer only looked my new reference letter and didn't look at my L.O.E , t4 and paystubs that I had previously submitted .
7) When I sent in a webform , I explained why I only had letter that said I worked for 8 months and also pointed out that my supporting documents were overlooked for the final decision. Pointed out that the payroll changed in April due to change in ownership as shown on my 2018 t4 and that's the same name on my paystubs and also has same address as the restaurant that I worked at .
8) Most importantly , I called the center and I spoke a good agent (on the second attempt) who was willing to listen to my explaination and he was the one who put in the request right away and I submitted the webform same day with the supporting documents again and explained the whole situation all over again and within 10 business days I was approved .
I had my friends helping me , they editted my L.O.E and helped me stay calm , so that I could read and understand the refusal letter and also to speak to an agent clearly . If you call ircc, make sure you know and are certain of what you're saying. I prayed every step of the way ,please don't hesitate to message for more Info and I'll alway be happy to help, Goodluck everyone !!!
looks like 8 months processing - my friend's file 25 days left - for 6months completion - no b.ground check yet.Applicants from Australia are just stuck! No movement once the file is transferred back to Australia! Guess since Jan 2019 people are waiting for some response
So sorry to hear about this. What is the reason for your refusal. Keep trying again you might get hold of a nice agent. What is your AOR?Hi, i got a refusal yesterday and i called the agent today and he gave a lot of excuses and refused to submit a reconsideration request. Was your experience also similar where the 1st agent was not willing to submit a request for reconsider
Hi there , so sorry to hear about your PR status, the first agent was completely clueless and kept putting me on hold , she sent to some court appeal (not helpful at all). Go and read and understand your refusal letter and then call back, hopefully you get a better agent . You should also send a webform, attach supporting docs and write a letter to explainHi, i got a refusal yesterday and i called the agent today and he gave a lot of excuses and refused to submit a reconsideration request. Was your experience also similar where the 1st agent was not willing to submit a request for reconsider
Thanks Bro. Well, I am keeping my fingers crossed too. I guess we all will have to organize a giant party when we all finally land thereThanks @comet7700. I know your AOR is one day after mine, hoping its PPR for you soon. Sticking around to see you guys off!

@S_r_t_1 what was the reason for refusal..Hi, i got a refusal yesterday and i called the agent today and he gave a lot of excuses and refused to submit a reconsideration request. Was your experience also similar where the 1st agent was not willing to submit a request for reconsider
@S_r_t_1 what was the reason for refusal..
If it is something you can do from your end.. go ahead and raise a webform with detailed explanation and supporting documents..
Also call again until you explain the situation and get an agent to send in a request to reconsider the file..
Ask questions if you need help - There are lot of experienced memebers in this forum who could assist you..
DO NOT GIVE UP !!!
My visa office was Edmonton too , I'm glad you got an agent that will send the request, I think that would really give them a push to respond ASAP, send a webform with explanation and attchach supporting documents as soon as you can . Make sure you address everything you submitted but they didn't consider for the final decision. All the best!!!Thank you very much for your encouragement. Its much need at this moment. I did call again n next time got an agent who agreed to send a request for reconsideration. I will be sending a detailed explanation of the document that i had uploaded soon. It seems that the agent either did not read all the documents attached or did not understand the content of the letter.
My visa processing officee was Edmonton. Now i am wondering if the reconsideration request will go to the same office/visa office or a different one.
