When do they start calculating the processing time for pr application?

From the time they receive your application

I’m a March 19 applicant and the 800 # has been saying “processing your background check” for months. Hoping for some news soon!

March 19- application received in Mississauga
April 27- AOR letter received
July 11 - OWP approved
Sept 17 - Request for medical exam received
Sept 30 - Medical exam passed and background checks started

Hi , I just logged in to check on my application status and surprisingly it already says Decision made - The status earlier was in process before. What throws me off though is that after clicking on that underlined status to see the details, the information is the same and nothing has changed. Please advise as to why that happens.

Had some issues with OWP so that was a bit back and forth.
OWP: 23rd July
Background check started: 12 September
Medical request: 12 September
Medical passed: 17 September
Eligibility passed: 14th Jan

I’m wondering what the eligibility means and what’s next?

Congratulations! "Eligibility passed" means you have Approval in Principle (AIP)! After this, one usually gets the "Decision Made" update/status on your ECAS within the next hours or days.

Hi, things will hopefully begin to pick up within the next few weeks and for sure that you'll be getting updates very soon! Many February applicants haven't had their landing interview yet, and so I hope the best for them and for us March applicants.

Just to give an update. I just received my landing interview letter from niagara falls so u should be getting yours soon.

March 9 Applicants, after submitting an additional document (police report from a country that I lived over 6-month time) on Dec. 27, nothing ever since. So nervous. Feels like something is pulling my guts.
