March 5th applicant, no changes yet. It would be lovely to hear something before Christmas but I'm not going to get my hopes up :)

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum and wanted to share our journey so far.
Inland Common Law Spousal Sponsorship & Open Work Permit Application and we've applied from Niagara Falls.

March 6th 2018 - application posted
March 7th - application delivered
April 4th - IRCC started processing the application
April 6th - IRCC sent acknowledgement of receipt of application and request for police clearance (we didn't realise the checklist had changed)
May 1st - Police certificates and Schedule A posted
May 2nd - IRCC confirmed receipt of Schedule A & police certificates
June 26th - Open Work Permit approved
August 30th - Instructions for medical exam sent
September 10th - had medical exam
September 25th - IRCC confirmed receipt of medical results

We've not had any communication from IRCC since September. Here's hoping we hear something soon, although with Christmas being next week I suspect it'll be into the New Year before we get any further updates.

:)

I’m a March 2nd applicant I got this letter today, is this my landing interview? Or should I be worried?

Dear Client(s),

PR Card processing time:
Please bring the following original documents:
 this call-in notice;

That's the landing appointment, congrats! :)

You'll be done in a few minutes and they will just ask you if you have any undeclared dependents, if you've committed any crimes, and if you've ever been denied entry or ordered to leave Canada. This is standard and everyone gets asked this.

Thank you!!!! I wasn’t sure if it was good or bad news! Hopefully they process the March applicants a bit faster! It seemed to be after the January ones they slowed down!

Nah, they still seem to be processing faster, as you can see by the fact they've started to call in March applicants and it's not even January yet. Official timelines are still at 12 months, but they've been doing it faster for a while now.

Anyway, nothing to worry about. If it was an actual detailed interview they would have asked you to bring more relationship/cohabitation proof with you. They asked you to bring the standard things everyone has to bring so it's just the appointment.
