our application ( me and wife ) was received on march 10th but not test yet
Currently only i am working and wondering if that makes a difference....those who have recieved the test dates can confirm if you are in same boat as mine..i.e both working vs single working..during our PR we both were working and received our PR in 6 months ( while for others it was taking longer )

Just curious...all the best to those who have already recieved the test dates and oath is confirmed...good luck to rest who are waiting

App received March 19th. No test yet. Looks like they are simply picking up applications randomly (lottery , luck) . There seems to be no order. Quite frustrating indeed!

This has nothing to do with working or not working. I know the wait can be excruciating, but don't try to guess some weird reason why yours is slower. There is no good reason, apart from sheer luck. They are flooded with applications. There are still many February 2018 applicants who are just about now getting their test invites.

Citizenship applications are the same, no matter if you are working, unemployed, studying or living the life, that has nothing to do with the process.

So the best is to wait and don't try to read things into it. I know that's more easily said than done.

What do you think is the reason of delays generally ? Not this particular case only but in general.

Do you think that factors like living in several countries , or processing for more than one person ( family ) , absence from Canada for certain period of time etc also affects the process ?

While specific security checks can delay an application (for example if your name happens to the same or similar to the name of someone in their database, or your country of origin is slow in responding to security check requests by Canadian authorities), the VAST majority of delays has nothing to do with your application at all. It really is important not to read anything into it. Sometimes, your application end up in the wrong pile, sometimes is doesn't.

Example: It seems that the Mississauga office is quite busy processing applications from January and February 2018. So these people had to wait for a year. But still, according to the spreadsheet, some people who applied in January 2018 and were processed in Mississauga got an invite MUCH earlier. Why? Most likely because they simple happened to end up in a "lucky pile".

Again, the most important thing is not to try to read anything into this randomness, as frustrating as the randomness (understandably) is.

Hello Admin,
Please update, got the Citizenship Test for March 6th.

Can anyone please advise, what should I prepare apart from the Booklet "Discover Canada" for the Citizenship Test? Any good website that provides online Test or anything?

Completed the Test today in Mississauga, told I had scored 20/20 and they they had approved my application - told me I would be invited to an oath ceremony within 4weeks!
Really super fast and easy process today

Congratulations philjharvey !!!
Would you advise me if you had studied any other material apart "Discover Canada"?
Any online practice test or anything else?

Appreciate your any inputs on this. Thanks !

Received an invitation to attend the oath ceremony on March 13 at 12.30 pm in Mississauga. Had my test on Feb 21 and the application was approved the same day. During the interview, the anticipated wait time between test and oath was mentioned as 6 weeks, but it turned out to be a few days. Good luck to the rest of the crew !

June 28th is my daughter’s birthday
March 19th is my late Father’s birthday.
It was his greatest dream for me to work and live in Canada. And now i’m becoming a Canadian Citizen on his supposed to be 70th birthday. I’m teary-eyed and having goosebumps while writing this. Truly proud to be living in this country. Those who are still waiting, just keep on praying.. it will definitely arrive soon.

Just discover Canada and the test questions - the questions may be written slightly differently on the test but all the information is in Discover Canada - make sure you do study though as you have no idea what questions you will be asked
