My PR card expiring in July beginning. Can anyone advise whether I should apply for PR card renewal? Not sure whether citizenship will be granted before that.

I have 4 friends who entered the process in Feb 2017 and they all told me it takes exactly 5 months from the time the status changes to In Process - I am now about to hit 7 months! I am guessing there is a delay in Toronto / Mississauga ???

Yes, they are one of the slowest due to the high load of applicants. while for Scarborough office you might get the test invite earlier than others, the invitation for oath usually comes around 1 year after your application is received. That's just my observation based on the reported cases here.

I have a problem TOMORROW is my Exam and Interview. January 09..
But I LOST my ORIGINAL Transcript of Record and Diploma from my Bachelor's Degree in my country. I did go to a post secondary school here in BC. And luckily I was able to find my original diploma and transcript. But I submitted photocopies of both school documents when I submitted my application. And it states on the letter to BRING ALL ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED... I am worried now that it will delay the process since I don't have the other proof of english proficiency original documents... should I get an affidavit of loss? or will they just accept the diploma I have here in Canada even though it was only a certificate for a 8months course?

I'm pretty much on the same boat. I can't find my original document for celpip test. Well, I'll keep looking. I believe that it is not a big deal , as everything is in the system.

My application status has been changed to "Decision Made" today. I took exam on 14th Dec (last friday).
FYI (just sharing my experience): for all the people who are taking exam in future. Please do not forget to take your landing paper along with your PR card, 2 pieces of photo ID, passport (old and new) and other original documents during the exam. The test invitation do not clearly mention the documents that are required during exam. There were so many people without landing paper during the exam and the interviewer could re-arrange the interview, which will add unwanted delay just because of landing paper. Also, don't forget that your exam is usually followed by a quick interview. It can take up to hour or two for your turn depending upon how fast you finish your exam and if there is another group in front of yours. I was the first one to finish my exam and i was 2nd on the interview list, so i was out in no time.

I don't have a landing paper as I applied for my PR later on. Should I take my PR confirmation letter with me then?

You should have a CoPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence) that was stamped and signed when you crossed the border to become a PR. This you should have even if you just "flagpoled".

I don't want to speak for every single case, but in my case in Montreal at the interview they did not asked me to show my original language test. Even though I had original of my CELPIP with me. I think you need to have originals in case they have any doubts, let's say for example you submitted CELPIP with perfect score, but could barely express yourself in English at the interview.

I would still go for interview and in case they do ask you for diploma you can explain that you've lost originals. Just don't say it first :)

I Applied on march 2017, location Hamilton, no test invite yet, going to be 12 months in few months.

I think you mean March 2018. Same case for me but with Mississauga office. Honestly, I'm not expecting the invite to come before one year from Application received date!

yeah I got it thanks.
Good to be here and read all this stuff, as the test invitation is not that clear about it. thanks

London office is really slow. Most of the applicants who got IP around May 01, still in the same situation! Very sad!
What's even sadder is I sent a web-form asking what the deal is. I only got a generic response back, only to confirm that it is in the London office and nothing more. They have 1 month from today to get their stuff sorted or I can actually call them and question what in the world is going on. I was going off of abedi555 (the lone January applicant from London) as a baseline of what to expect- but they JUST got their oath invite!

I just had my test this morning and I got 20/20! I was so surprised, since I was a confused with the questions. Haha Glad that I guessed the right answers for some of them

At the interview, they only asked for all passports and a photo ID. And didn’t ask for other documents. So I was relieved.

So it is NOT the same for everyone. But yes, for those who will have their test and interview soon. Just bring all original supporting documents just in case they will ask for it.

I submitted 4 transcripts but they only checked one this morning after I passed the test.
