Test invitation: 5 October 2018
Test date: 20 Octo 2018

Hi
I applied in a family file at the same time and the process started in June and I was going to have the test tomorrow but this morning I received a call from immigration office that the clearance check is not completed yet and the file in pending. I was totally frustrated as I was ready for the test but I was told that I have to wait till the clearance check to be completed and the test will be rescheduled

Maybe they have changed the procedure since I saw here in the community someone who did the test and not be invited to the oath because they need to complete the background check ... but that was all said during the interview after the test

Yeah, there is No algorithm that you can base on (family members, days spent in Canada, exam's score...). I just think that the only thing that you can trust is your location. In my case it was The summer vacations time for them, that's why I had so much time for studying . When I asked the officer when should I expect the oath to be, he said that it's all booked for 2/3 months in calgary.

Earlier this morning (October 10th) I became a Canadian citizen. My great journey has come to an end and I'm thankful I won't have to complete another immigration form in my life! :)

Congrats MCARTER82 :). You mentioned in an earlier post that the citizenship officer called your contact/guarantor to ask some verification questions after you did the test. At what stage of the application did you give details of your contact/guarantor? I don't remember filling in any contact details. Thanks.

Hello all,
We were invited to write our test today 10/10/2018
and the test date is 29/10/2018
Thank you all.
Kindly update the spreadsheet, please.

Spoke to CIC today. The call centre officer was very nice. Informed me that my file was transferred to the Mississauga office on September 10. Its been in process since June 26. Any guesstimates on expected timelines after this?

Thanks all, and, good luck to everyone waiting!

Thanks! There was a form which required this at the beginning. Sorry I can't remember the name or number of the form. They called my contact to verify some things a few weeks after I took my test.
