March - 2018 Citizenship Applicants

Have not received the letter yet but I hope it won't be that much complicated. Do anyone here has the same status and received the letter already? What are they usually requested in the letter?

Citizenship
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on March 8, 2018.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on March 26, 2018.
  3. We started processing your application on June 13, 2018.
  4. We sent you correspondence on July 3, 2018. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

Here are my info:

  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on March 15, 2018 - (I sent application on March 12,2018).
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on March 29, 2018.
  3. We started processing your application on May 31, 2018

  1. Received Notice to Appear for test today - July 4th, 2018. Test will take place on July 18 - Ottawa.

yes I have the same thing and I received the letter same day its a finger print

You can never figure out how CIC works , I really like this thing about them lol . Once you assume you are ahead of schedule they will definitely push you back and make sure next time you don't get such thoughts.

it is here Canada.
In my region, Fingerprinting services are provided by appointment only.

  • "Agents input information online by 15:00 hrs local time and
  • the system populates and updates the details on the web portal between 18:00 hrs- 22:00 hrs local time EST every day.
  • Automated notifications are immediately issued but ECAS updates takes anywhere from 12 - 72 hours.
  • ECAS is updated within 72 hours and if the file is updated in ECAS, the processing centre is already assigned by then.
  • The file then physically travels to the processing centre on a weekly basis for processing review."

Question: Once I am done with my test... its okay to take oath in another province
