I just wanted to ask - I got one of the Test packs from the internet for $29.99 - it then gives you examples of tests!!! OML the questions are like having to gain a degree on Canadian history. So I asked about 20 of my Canadian friends the same questions and they had no idea the answers. The website keeps advertising for additional tuition, so heres my question - is the test that hard that I do need additional tuition - when I mean hard its like - what date was the Montreal Stock Exchange opened and by whom? Or is it the website making the test look extremely hard to gain additional revenue.
I watch the news and I am fully up to date with current affairs including our PM's visit to France and London, I am fully aware of the law making process and the rule of government. I have a solid understanding of high-level Canadian history, and being English I fully understand the voting system, health system and work ethic as much of Canadian Life is very similar to that of the UK.

Just read the Discover Canada couple of times and run some FREE simulation tests online (there are many). Don't spend any penny on this. You don't need more than that.

Thanks for this - i did think the example questions were way too much for anyone to know! I will drop this package I brought and look for free examples as you suggest

The government is currently making “significant revisions” to the current guide, Discover Canada.
IRCC said that an official launch date for the new test has not been set yet, so it will probably be sometime in 2019.

The test will still have 20 multiple-choice questions which must be answered within 30 minutes, with a passing score of 75%.

You will receive an invitation letter approximately two weeks before the test date.
The invitation will include the time and the address where the test is to be held and what documents you must bring.
You should plan two hours for this activity.

Citizenship applicants are given two chances to pass the test.
If they fail both times, they will meet with a citizenship officer who will determine if the applicant meets the requirements of language and knowledge of Canada.
If the citizenship interview fails, the citizenship application will then be denied.

Your application will go "In process" when your file is sent from Sydney (where you originally sent your application) to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) office closest to your home for processing.
During "In process" state, the CIC office will complete all the verification and background checks and you will be sitting for the citizenship test and interview.
Once you pass all of this and CIC is convinced you meet or do not meet the eligibility criteria, your application will change to "Decision Made" and you will be waiting for oath invite (if your application has been accepted).
