As an aside, is there any significance of the AOR / In-process status with respect to citizenship applications, aside from it just being "nice to know"?

Also, technically, my address falls in North York vs Toronto. Does it make in any difference?

Would be grateful for any info as I was curious. Thanks!!!

Unless you get to attend the oath and get the citizenship certificate in hand, you are not Canadian! Now, having your application in AoR or in process state will indicate the current status of your application but will not give you any hint when you shall expect your oath. I mean, many applicants get their AoR much sooner than others but get delayed later in the process. Or even many OPs in this forum get DM way before others but had to wait 4 to 6 months to get their oath invitation after that. In a nutshell, just chill, live your life normally and it will come when it's meant to come. Never ever compare your intermittent timelines with others! That will lead you no where!

For your info:
AoR: means document check is complete and application is ready to be sent to local CHC
In process: Local CHC started processing your application (triggering background check, contacting CRA, CBSA, etc.. and verifying the data in your application)

Thanks! Thats what I wanted to know. I understand that this will take its own sweet time and there is not much I can do about it, so am not overtly worried about a comparison to others; I was just curious about what the different statuses meant.

I discovered a mistake in the dates on my application form that I sent. did you get the whole application back and had to resend it or did you mail them a corrected form? also what happens to the application fee?
I actually re sent it before hearing back about the first one, and I used the same receipt (I hope there is no issue with that =S ).
The problem in my case was that the date in the signature page is a pretty big deal.. if you made a mistake in some other date, you should be able to correct it, I would think you shouldn't have to worry too much ;)

Are you allowed to send 2 applications. Do You not have to wait untill they send you first one back. I am not 100% sure about this. Check with senior members on the forum

my mistake is in question 9. Counties lived in during the eligibility period, correct dates 2013-12 to 2014-4, on the form that I sent I had 2013-11 to 2013-4 (which is not only wrong but create a gap in my timelines).

I understand now that the date of signature is big deal and it is different form other dates (thanks to 3bdcanada :)). I did use the IRCC webform to ask about sending a correction. I have no issue with them delaying my application, I just don't want to pay again lol

Believe the AOR process is same for all locations, but once the AOR is done then the next process will depend on the location is this right understanding
