As per the immitracker, they are clearing PPRs in a day or two after IP2. Yours too should be coming soon

No! There are so many folks who are waiting in IP2 since Feb 27, almost 2 months in IP2, It is not like earlier, if you get lucky, you will get it soon otherwise it has slowed down.

I see there is a notification for system maintenance on the CIC website for tomorrow. the last time this happened, a lot of applicants had status change. hopefully for those of us that have been stuck on IP1, there will be a status change. Fingers crossed.

No one can confirm to you whether CIC would request for additional documents or not. So relax, if the VO feels that he or she needs additional documents from you, you will be contacted, otherwise just wait for your PPR mail

You are nearly there, it's just a matter of time now. Try to enjoy this waiting time. Once the eligibility is passed you are almost certain to get your PPR. As you are in the Background check stage, as long as your background has no alarming cause, you are clear. Take it easy and enjoy this time!

Hi Everyone. Does any one knows how much time it takes after the PPR, from sending the passport to getting it back with the COPR stamped. I know I am being ahead of myself considering I haven't received the PPR email yet but just want to workout the timelines.

but im confused what exactly happens in background check? i checked with all my employers yesterday and none of them have received any calls for verification or anything yet.
in background are they just checking for criminality then?

IP1 - Medicals + Criminality
IP2 - background Check + Eligibility + Security

One of my friend, she got PPR and it took her 18 days to get back the passport from New Delhi VO

It says on their website that "Security screening is conducted with the written consent of the applicant " but on this forum, most people found out they were in SS through GCMS notes.

Does this mean application status wont get updated or that they wont email your consent form before starting SS?

Yes! Only GCMS notes is a way you can get to know details. They won't inform about SS
