We applied Feb 27 2017 however they started processing the application on March 6, 2017
Spon App status DM
PRA status: Application Received
Schedule A March 11, 2017 Requested
Schedule A March 19, 2017 send it through the webform
Medical Exam Requested April 11, 2017
Medical Exam done April 18, 2017
File Transfer outside Canada April 19, 2017
Medical Exam Passed April 27, 2017
Medical Exam Forwaded to responsible Office May 29, 2017
My husband still hasnt done is backgroundcheck ? and its been more then three month and PRA status still say Application Received .

Firstly did u get an AOR2?
Did you call them up and confirm that they have received your scheudle A and have attached it to your application? If you haven't pls confirm this. If your application had been transferred if should have changed to in process on the PA side on ECAS. Which VO?

My sponsor received an email that my application was sent to manila visa office.

Whats next ????
What should I expect ???
How many month until they do backgroundcheck and make decision????

Yes they did and they had exact specs for photographs

Did you submit your passport at a VAC or a visa office?

Vfs vac in Mumbai.. Details of where u need to submit are there in ppr.. Vchever country u r in u can submit there i.e ur home country where ur visa office or canada but it has to be thru vac only as mentioned in my ppr

Hey all, I have a question, specifically for those whose PAs have come to Canada to visit for as long as possible while waiting for PR. My husband (PA) and I want to do the same thing, however if he comes to visit me for an extended time he will not be able to keep his job in the US, nor will we be able to afford paying rent in both countries, so he would not have a lease agreement with his address in the US (however, his family home is in the US, and he would give that address, since that is where he would go if he ran out of time to visit me in Canada and had to go back to the States - I am just saying he would not have a lease agreement or something as "proof" of that address).

Do you think it would be too risky for him to try and visit me without having a job in the US? Would a letter from his family stating that he will return to live with them be enough?

Thats how they write it on Ecas. Mine and 100s of others have this line. For every doc request that they send, you will see this line with different dates. For example this March 30 line appears to be of Schedule A and PCC request. Now if they request any other additional doc, you will see a repeat of this line with a different date. Nothing unusual.
