oops.. sorry. i dont mean to offend.. lol. they make jokes about the South here where I live. thank you for comforting me. you know? it's so easy to get nervous and over thinking!!! especially you cant find out any information.

Oh gosh...you did NOT offend me at all! Neither my husband and I are from here...I am from Canada and he is from California. We make jokes about living here in the south all the time :)

It is frustrating, but think positive! Things will move along :)

You can see from the spread sheet that you are not alone :) I'm still waiting too

oh good.. haha. you know where Nanaimo is? we have a pretty redneck area... you can see the Confederate State Battle flag on some redneck trucks.. even though B.C had 0 relationship with the Civil War. lol. I am originally from China.. but i spent my entire adulthood in Canada. I met my current wife in China during my 10 years high school reunion, while i was in China. she was there for short-term language class. technically we are like alumni...... then later we found each other again on fb after 4 years.

i am not going to lie.. sometimes when I think about this sort of stuff.... i might be overthinking and get panic attack... need some "green tea" to chill myself. lol.

I applied before you on March 16 and got AOR1 on May 4th. Though if indeed it is SA I just got it came soon after AOR1.
I think your SA will come soon enough.

btw I visit Nanaimo sometimes as I've got cousins that live there. Always nice weather and nice people.

I haven't had any communication from CIC at all. I can track on eCAS with the IMM 5401 receipt number. PA side "In Process", sponsor side, sponsor "In Process", PR "In Process". They received the application on March 21, started processing on April 14th.

I think we have SA from what I read here, but we still don't even have a UCI yet.

Thanks for confirming this for me yijiequ. I'm preparing for my wife to return, and my stepdaughter to make her first visit to Canada in less than a month from now. It will make the waiting so much easier.

Good luck to everyone here. I hope everyone in March 2016 group can be reunited with their family soon.

I don't know if my application has been transferred. I just know on the permanent residence side it changed to in process and a line added that says they have started to process my application on May 12.

What others have told me is that is SA. I won't officially know until I get the e-mail I guess.

it's assumed an application is immdiately tranferred upon sponsor approval. the sponsor's ECAS would suggest a decision is made. Usually, after sponsor approval the applicant's ECAS changes to "your application has been received...". When an applicant's ECAS says "we started processing your application" that means it's at the visa office and is processing. CIC is obviously doing something different for march and april applications since applicant ECAS is changing to in process upon sponsor approval. this can suggest a "dual process" which was common when i went through it. for some files, they would process both applications at the same time for quicker processing. ony time (and the sponsor approval letter suggesting where the applicant is being processed) will tell if this is what is happening, or if CIC is just becoming ECAS happy.
