Just received SA via email in the form of a PDF attachment. Says PR application has been forwarded to Ottawa although I know that it was already transferred there on May 6. So excited! Hoping to see many others in the late March/early April family get theirs too!

No SA yet.. my wife lives in Tunisia and it will be processed in Paris... I am a Chinese Canadian. lol... I actually wonder if you have ever found an Asian male from Canada sponsoring an Arab woman.. pretty rare... it makes me nervous.. you always see Asians with Asians.. Arabs with Arabs.. i know we dont live in the old days, when interracial relationship is a taboo like the Deep South.. but you never know... maybe i think too much.. Inshallah.. everything will work out.

Ya it's probably overthinking. I have the same timeline as you and we are a pretty standard couple: Canadian and German. Also, as far as I can tell, there should be no "complications" like children or conjugal relationships. He has a job and no debt... I really don't understand what's taking them so long. It's probably just by chance. Maybe we ended up with a slow agent or he just went on holiday. Who knows...

It's not taking them so long - you're still way within the normal timeframes, and things have sped up a lot since a year or two ago. Our is Canadian German as well, a little ahead of yours, so I bet you will see SA and such coming soon. We just got ours last night.

Just logged into ECAS. On the permanent residence side it changed from application received to in process and a line in there that said:

We started processing <spouse's name> application on May 12, 2016.

Does this mean CIC started processing my wife's application or is it Singapore and I got SA? My sponsorship application side still says In Process.

Mine says the same thing, except that in the applicants side doesn't say when it started being processed, it only says In process.

I also haven't received the official SA yet. So, yea it means that ur VO in your case Singapore started processing it.

Good luck

thanks but 57 days to get SA and 47 days for AOR1 was a long wait. I hope Singapore gives a fast decision. Maybe I'll order that note thing think it's called GCMS to see what the officer wrote in a couple weeks.

That is rare lol! But I don't think it is cause for concern...especially nowadays, and it's Canada! My SA came after they transferred my file, so it seems they are doing them in batches. Also possible they could have sent your SA out in this batch by mail, so you won't get it for a week or two. Ecas is unreliable as well, even though I received SA via email, ecas still shows "In Process". Yours is coming I'm sure...oh and funny enough we are an interracial couple (black and white), currently living in the south haha!
