Hi vikram

My timeline is almost same as yours.just a question for you. When did you pay rprf for you file. And congratulations for PPR.
Thanks

Thanks goodlife. I paid for RPRF before submitting the application. Is your visa office also NDVO?
Good luck for your application.

My application was received by CIC office on March 31. Got AOR 1 on April 24. But no SA and no update on the ecas website either.

No problem. My bet is that they approved the sponsor without doing anything to notify you. It happens sometimes. If you get a call center agent who doesn't want to give you any information, then try to call back and get someone else who answers.

Hello,

I called this morning and the lady wasn't very helpful. She just said its in process and you can check online for other details and that we will notify you of any changes via email.

I will try to call again after a week.

AarCee

Edit: Whoops, completely mixed you up with someone from January who applied and is waiting for SA still.

I hope they get to yours soon!

Some agents are really a pain in the butt. Just say thank you, hang up and dial again. Odds of getting grumpy agents twice in a row are very low.

I hope so too I hear something from them. Its nice to see DM is being made for some of us. Hopefully, they continue this speedy processing for all visa offices. I just hope they realize what we go through when we live far apart from our wife's and husbands.

Wish the best to you all.

My husband also called today and all this lady agent could say is there is no additional information she could give regarding our application apart from what we have received via email so far. Seriously???? It's over 60days. :'(

Wow, maybe try contacting your MP? 60 days for SA is way over the processing time.

I agree deepax. They can be a real pain. I wish they understood how hard it is to stay away from our partners.

Thanks Decoy. How is this usually done? I guess we have been so patient but it's no more. We were hoping we could get the sponsorship approval and AOR2 soon for me to be able to apply for TRV since I had been denied before we got married. My husband has now to organize to come.

I'm not actually sure myself, but that's usually what people do when they're at their wits end with an application being over the processing time and your SA is well over the 41 days. You could try finding out who your local MP is and try searching online for an email from them. If you can find the email, I would send them a well-written explanation of your situation (how you still haven't gotten anything saying the sponsor has been approved yet and it's been over the 41 days listed on the website and you tried calling the CIC call center with no luck, etc).

There's a January applicant who's in the same situation as you. I wonder what's going on.

Edit: Does your eCAS give a date under the sponsor's portion for when they started processing the sponsorship side? What date does it give?

Thanks Decoy. This information is so helpful. They started processing the application on 4th April 2016. Only one line on the permanent resident side .....application received 10th March 2016. We send the medical results with the application but no update yet.

I think it's worth a shot to give your MP a call. The worst than can happen is they won't give you any information. At least you have the chance of finding something out. Good luck!
