Hey all,

So I got AOR awhile back and can login in to ECAS and it says
We received your application to sponsor March 22, 2016.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on April
We started processing your application on April 15, 2016.
I havent heard anything about SA though so wondering if maybe I am one of the ones who is not going to get a notification?
Not that there is any doubt I won't get it but its just nice to know!

I'm hoping our application is straight forward, and yes we have two Canadian children together. The only possible complication is a criminal charge he had in the States from 15 years ago, which we had to get approval from the Minister of Immigration for my partner to be considered "rehabilitated". He wasn't even able to enter Canada for the first year of our relationship, but once the Minister approved his rehabilitation he was able to get a Visitor Visa. We're praying he's in the clear now to be approved for PR.

Fingers crossed, I think it's looking good for you anyway :)

I hope this Aussie isn't too far behind your DM. Cheers!

I was just wondering how you know if you have received AOR2? We received the SA email on the 25th of April.

In ECAS under "Permanent Residence Application Status" we now have the line "We started processing XXX application on April 29, 2016."

That's amazing! I think it is AOR2. I'm not sure and am waiting for AOR1. Congrats!

I just did. It was apparently approved even more quickly than I thought. COPR was mailed on Thursday, April 28th, two days after file transfer to Ottawa VO. This is so unreal that I think the speculation that it's due to training a lot of new officers is the only plausible application. The CIC call centre agent actually checked with a few others because she found this so unbelievable, and said it was the fastest approval they had ever seen.

WOW! Unbelievable! Great news guys! Congratulations!

Wow, try to call them and check

In order to expedite the processing of your application, we are requesting that you provide the following as soon as possible:
 Proof of payment of your Right of Permanent Resident Fee (landing fee) to our office in Mississauga or by your sponsor in Canada, if not already paid. Note: dependent children are not required to pay the Right of Permanent Resident Fee.
 Submission of police clearance certificates for you and all dependent family members who are 18 years or older, for time spent in any country for a period of 6 months or more, if not already submitted. Note: If you or your family members were under 18 years of age (16 years of age in certain jurisdictions) for the entire time you lived in a particular country, you do not need to provide a police certificate for that country.

Since we have already sent everything.
Why am i getting this from VO NEW DELHI,is this a generic mail or do i need to consider it ?

Hello all,

I've been away so wasn't able to update me status but good news to share.

While I was away on holiday with my wife in Japan. My Sponsor Approval came on April 26th in an email (packages was recieved on March 19th, AOR on April 15), quote "You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly, the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative has been forwarded to the visa office in CPC-Ottawa for further processing. This visa office was selected based on your relative’s country of nationality and the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act."

The interesting thing is, for Japanese nationals (my wife), the package guide states that the package usually goes to Manila Process Office. So seeing the application going to Ottawa was interesting. With a bit of googling, I found a few cases when Japanese application was forward to Ottawa due to "uncomplicated cases" or Manila office is overwhelmed.

On April 30th, they have requested my wife's to do her medical check within a month so things seems to be fast.

At this moment, my Client Application Status for SA is blank now when it use to say "in process" and Permanent Residence Application Status still says "in process". The updates on website seem quite slow as emails coming from office will reflect the stages of the process.

I hope my info was help some of you. Good luck to all.

This is a generic AOR2 email from NDVO. If you have already provided both of these, you can ignore it.

To the ones who sent their forms & docs to MIDI by courier, was it signed by a guard? I used UPS and it says delivered May 2nd signed by Tom location: Guard.

I had the impression that it would be signed in a Mailroom like at CPC-M.

(I'm positive it is in good hands but it's always good to confirm)
