Hi

Please I'm applying for outside canada sponsorship for my wife, but she's in canada with me,please i would like to know if I should pay the "Right to permanent residence fee" together with all other payments? Or should I wait till they ask me to do so...thank you all

@Nehemiah26
Im sponsoring my husband and I chose to not pay that fee until they ask me for it, because in case he gets refused the money is not refundable. So its up to you, and it won't delay your documents when they ask you for the fee

Hey,
I paid all the fees, and I think RPRF is refunded if there is rejection

I was told otherwise by my consultant thats why I didnt make the payment.

Got our email from the VPO today (ottawa)! requested documents but at least I know its there!
(FBI clearance)

from the CIC website:

"If you do not qualify as a sponsor and chose to withdraw your sponsorship application, you will be refunded the fees for processing the application for a permanent resident visa and any Right of Permanent Residence Fees you have paid. "

The $75 sponsorship fee is not refundable though.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/fees/refunds/rprf.asp

Refunds will be granted in all cases where the Right of Permanent Residence Fee has been paid and the applicant has not acquired permanent resident status. Should the application for permanent residence be refused or withdrawn, the Department is obligated to refund the RPRF.

Ohh thanks guys, I didnt know that. I should have payed it too. oh well :-[

Hi there - my outland spousal visa was received on 7th March, started processing on the 31st March, Sponsor Approval letter received, dated 7th April: notified step 2 of application has been sent to Ottawa.

I never received a AOR letter. Anyone else received Sponsor Approval without getting AOR?

Hi, do they give you a deadline to send back CSQ?

I thought the same, VO processes your file while waiting for MIDI to send them the certificate.

Yes, they said, "The above information/documents must be received in our office within 45 days from the date of this letter."

Thank you. You too!

Just received AOR2 email with request for IMM5409 which I thought was optional for some reason, and my FBI check which I received in the mail yesterday. With any luck we will have both documents scanned and sent by Friday. My application has been sent to Ottawa! We never received any email for AOR1 or SA. Application was received March 21.
