Hi everyone,
I am US citizen, husband is Canadian, we've been married almost 7 years living in the US and we have a daughter.
Our application was received 03-15-2016, AOR 04-08-2016 and no SA yet... Such a long time between AOR and SA .
I'm starting to worry and feel impatient. I remember going through this with my husband's US visa. It's taxing.

Congrats to those who have their SA!!!

Just wanted to post something and say hi cuz both of us are here lurking a bit ;D
Our stats are on the spreadsheet.

well, not 39 days yet.. I was told by a CIC call centre lady yesterday that I can call back after 39 days. My original call was since I didn't receive AOR until this morning.
so I guess you should wait past 39 days and see what happens.

Re: WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN? AOR..SA..UCI..ECAS?

Hi All,

What does AOR mean? I see now that SA means Sponsor Approval!

The CPCM received on the 14th April, a document I had initially missed- Additional Family Information (IMM5406). So I guess because of this mistake, even though I sent the original package in March- I now fall into the April Group for processing...

Any rough estimates on how long it will take from this juncture to get my sponsorship approved, and then the actual PR approval for my husband? I am thinking of moving with our son to Nova Scotia this August to find a place and job and settle down before the winter- and my husband will remain behind to work in Israel -intending to join us nearer the end of the PR process or when he actually has it in hand. We are trying to estimate how many months we will live apart- and if it's worthwhile... At the moment we are hoping (wildly unrealistically I think) that he will be near to getting the PR in Nov/Dec (8-9 months from now).

Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks BAR82

This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2016/03/29 on behalf of the following member(s):

Acknowledgement of Receipt would be my guess

Re: WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN? AOR..SA..UCI..ECAS?

if everything is smoothly; say 20 days--30 days for AOR? mine is 22 days.

Yes. It doesn't matter what day you sent the application, only what day it was received by the CIC. The date they receive it is the file date.

You should be able to get some sort of refund if you sent your application via Xpresspost and it took longer than 2 business days. I'm sorry it took so long.

We got SA on April 22nd!! Yahoo!! Timeline is on my signature and just updated the spreadsheet! Only thing is I still can't log on to eCAS to check my application status, I really want to know if they received my medical (done in January this year)

Still waiting on the FBI check, though they just tried to charge my card and had a problem with it, so I'm counting that as good news!

Anyone else having problems logging on to eCAS still?

I also received my SA on 22nd April but still unable to log in Ecas.

I was having problems getting in. I was finally able to log in using the Application Number and the name, dob, etc. for the person being sponsored. Not sure if you've tried that yet or not.

That worked for me - I was using the UCI to try and log in with both my and my sponsor's information. Using the application number and my information did the trick. Thanks for the tip!
