Hi Amanda, I haven't get a chance to call CIC yet. But I will this week. And yes I am checking my email as well as my junk mail every now and then.

Thank you and God bless!

Patience is crucial in this process. There are a few applicants in February thread who haven't got their AOR yet.
Each case is individual and if we keep comparing to others or calling it won't get us fast process and SA.
Just saying don't be anxious, this is the beginning. If the only thought in our heads is when CIC will contact us we'll go absolutely crazy.
Every day I wake up without my love by my side is an agony but there's nothing I can change.

Even CIC says on there website to contact them:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/

Call centre

You can contact IRCC through the following options if you have submitted an application from within Canada or online and:

the normal processing time for your application has passed and you cannot verify the status of your application using the online application status tool.

Also on their website they say assessment of sponsor is 36 days. Today is day 38. If the status cannot be verified then contacting CIC can maybe help out. It is better to keep track of what is going on than just wonder.

Yes, it's just a two day difference but like you said everyday we wake up without our loved one and it's only normal for us if we get worried a bit. I worked at a call centre for a courier company and some clients would get worried when their package with next day delivery had not been delivered. Now imagine how it would feel to not know the status of your spousal application after the 36 days that have passed!

Moreover, it is apparent that each case is unique but to say that "if we keep comparing to others" and the sentence before you made a comparison to the February applicants, you are contradicting yourself.

There was an explanation of NEW IN PROCESS and OLD IN PROCESS, I don't remember. 5 days after my file has been forwarded to Daresalam VO, The PR side shows in PROCESS and MED results have been received, is that AOR2?

Being so impatient won't do any good. The thing is I wanna know if our documents did really safely/securely arrived in CIC office.
Just hoping that I will get some assurance soon from CIC's end.

I know, that you know how it feels to wait:-)

You can verify on this link:

Well, here I was hopeful for AOR, and got my application sent back to me. I don't know how it happened cause I feel like I checked everything over and over, but the IMM 5406 was missing, apparently. Before I sent the package, I went to my father's office and got a photo copy of everything, and in the application they sent back there was a document from his office... it must have gotten switched... I cannot believe I would do that, but it is right here in front of me. I'm so mad and sad! So smad!

Anyway, I have a photocopy of the IMM 5406, and it doesn't look like a photocopy to look at it. It doesn't say it has to be original, so can I send that in? Otherwise, I have to wait for my husband to send me another signed copy. GAAAAH. :( :(

I feel terrible for you! It is so hard to keep everything organised when there is so much stress involved. I am not an expert but I fear you will need the original.

Sorry to hear that!!! Do you get notice that they are sending it back or it just shows up in your mail? I realized last night I made a mistake on my mother in laws birthdate. Got the month and date backwards. :( I am hoping that doesn't warrant a send back!

Very sorry to hear that your application is returned. As far as I know, the signatures on the forms have to be in original. The photocopy you have will not work.
Also, the form IMM1344 has been recently updated. Since you'll be sending your application again, you should include the updated form and unfortunately, that form also needs your husband's signature. I would suggest to check all the forms before your send again.
