Ya no problem. So basically they wanted to know more about the relationship, in particular what communication and time we spent together after the marriage. Because we applied right after our wedding, they wanted to know what the contact was after that. They also wanted to talk to my husband in person about the relationship to determine if it was genuine or not. My husband's interview lasted less than an hour. My husband brought in all pictures from our time together after the wedding, our communication logs, and our wedding album. He did most of the talking, and the interviewer told him she was satisfied with the evidence and that they needed to see him in person to complete the application. Upon saying this, she requested his passport and told him to come back to get it at 3.

My advice to you guys if you have an interview - bring whatever else you can to prove the relationship is true.Be prepared, and follow a lot of the questions that deffy posted in this forum. Make sure you know little details about your application and personal details about your partner. But most of all just be yourself in the interview and treat it more like a conversation than an interview.

Hey guys, longtime lurker here! Just wanted to share that I finally got a call and passport request email from the Canadian embassy in Manila today! My timeline for your reference:

Medical: 2 February 2016 (done in Singapore)
Accepted in Mississauga: 23 March 2016
AOR1: 13 May 2016
AOR2: 2 June 2016 (Manila Embassy)
Request Letter for SG Police certificate: 13 June 2016, submitted the same through email on 22 June 2016.
Request Letter to resubmit original updated SG Police certificate: 6 October 2016, submitted on 19 Oct 2016.
Pre-arrival services email received: 21 October 2016
Call and Passport request email: 17 November 2016

As I am currently working in Singapore, they confirmed in the call that I'll be here for the next 3 months so they can note in the request email that I can submit my passport to the CVAC in Singapore.

You guys have all been such a huge help in this process so please let me know if you have any questions I can help address. Hang in there!!!

I've been checking my e-mails and logging in a lot lately. Nothings changed for last 8 months. I've ordered my GCMS notes over 90 days ago and still haven't received them. I e-mailed them basically just telling them to give us an interview. Any progress is better than just waiting and waiting and being left in the dark all these months. I haven't worked last 3 years as I chose to live with my wife and daughter in Vietnam and I desperately want to return to Canada and work to support my family.

Hello everyone!

Been a while since I last posted anything on the forums but I am also a March 2016 applicant. So its been 9 months, my wifes medical has long been passed and she had to get a re-medical which also passed. Our eligibility is still "in process" and her background check is also "in process".

Interestingly enough in October I received that "pre-arrival" email that lets you know about the free services they offer pertaining to your arrival in canada . Which is fine, but i thought it was odd that they would send that exact same email to me again today! (One month later after the original email was sent)

Has this happened to anyone else? does this mean anything? Or am i just over reacting to this double sent email. Just like anyone on this thread i'm getting a little frustrated with this process 9 months in. Any information is like gold and when I saw that I got another email from the manila immigration office my heart started racing....only to see they sent me this email before. :(

Hi everyone,

Can anyone guide me for some additional documents as Afghan national that I need for spouse sponsorship.
The questions and those forms that confuse me are as following:
In additional information for Afghan nationals there forms include which I cannot find most of them in CIC website but they are in the guide 3911e DON’T KNOW IF I CAN PRINT AND USE THEM ?
The forms are such as: Supplementary Information Form-Afghanistan. Education Background and work experience. Authorization to Disclose Information- Afghanistan [1]
RESIDENCY Questionnaire-Afghanistan. Proof of Relationship to sponsor and etc.
The above forms or text are as a form in the guide 3911 but I don’t know if I can use them.

1] Since I am not living in Afghanistan but the Authorization to Disclose information is address to ISLAMABAD Pakistan. I am residing in Turkey. What should I do for authorization disclose information?
AND when I should fill these documents? Do I have to fill them along with my application for permanent resident and send it to my sponsor? (But my sponsor “Wife” is also now in Turkey with me.)
Please give me your opinion and experience those who pass through the process.
And if anyone could tell me also that how can I rate their profile.

Thanks in advance

Hello Everyone!

Need your help to apply online for TRV for my wife.
we applied paper application in October and it got rejected.
planning to reapply online application this time.
we got married in march this year and applied for spouse PR in august in which we already approved for first stage(SA).
Now about TRV online application what supporting document i should provide?
My wife has no work history and she never travelled outside India.
My wife doesn't have any property or anything like that on her name.
So I am not really sure what other documents i can provide for her application.
Anybody in the same situation and got approved for TRV?
Really really need your help!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
