I am getting worried. I have to wait until I get the mail from CIC about the decision.

I see two blocks on ECAS one for sponsorship and the other for PR. for those who got the following message
"We sent you a letter on May 8, 2015 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

What was updated on the PR block at the time the above message was updated.

Well Everyone see the same message on ECAS after Decision Made.You can just wait for Email or Regular Mail.as it has been 4 days so i would say Wait as CanadaPost send Regular letter in about 3 to 10 days.

They sent the letter in May 6th and no email had been sent.
hopefully I will find something in my mail box when I reach my house today !

Do you think calling them is a good idea?
I called them last Friday, May 8th, before the dtatus was changed online to DM. They didn tell me that the decision has been made and a lettet has been sent to you!

I tried calling them today by using Skype since I am outside of Canada at the moment, and I was not able to get through. Probably because they recognized that it is a strange number calling them (this has happened with other 1-800 numbers I called before). I will have to wait for my letter I guess! I hope it is good news, this whole process is making me so anxious and irritable.

You are right. I tried once when I was outside Canada and same thing happened with me.

As far as I know it's not a documented, hard limit. It's going to make things fishy looking for your officer, however, so it would be a good idea to retain lots of documentation that proves you still LIVE in Canada. Document everything; that you went to see your spouse, that you stayed with them, etc. If you have a job in Canada that's giving you leave, or allowing you to work remotely, document that as much as you can (letters from employers, rent receipts and a lease agreement from your apartment in Canada, bank statements showing activity in Canada, electrical/other utility bills, etc.)

A lot of these things aren't strong rules necessarily, CIC relies heavily on the opinion of its officers. Anything over 2-3 weeks is going to raise an officer's suspicions significantly, so you will need to convince them that you live in Canada, etc, but if you have documentation to prove the situation is as you say then it's not going to be a big issue.

Thanks so much for your thorough explanation. I understand that it is all left for each situation as is and was just wondering for the exact weeks mentioned in older posts that I never found a documentation for somewhere on CIC website.

I am just planning a celebration party and a honey moon and wanted to have my time travelling not being tight by 2 or 3 weeks vacation

not sure if this is the right place to ask, but id appreciate any suggestions !

I applied outland in March this year and just got the SA, I live with my hubby(he's my sponsor) as visitor status, visa is valid till next April.

I've heard people applied for Medical services plan after the SA, we currently live in B.C., although I'm not pregnant (some people get MSP due to their pregnancy) and in a good health so no need for any medical help, but it's still better to be covered of MSP in case of anything happens in the future.

Does anyone know is it easy to apply for MSP? What should I prepare?

AOR is the acknowledgement of receipt, this is a notification from CIC that they have received and is processing your application. You might have recv'd this through email, and or snail mail. I am wild guessing that you have your AOR already since you can tell that they've received yours a day after you submitted your application. Hopefully you'll rcv your SA this week or early next week since they've already started sending out SAs for the first week of March applicants. and let us both hope that MANILA VO (visa office) wouldn't take a long time to figure things out for us as well.

I believe we are all in the same boat here, missing our spouse plus all this stress and anxiety brought about by long processing times, meaning longer time of being away from our partners. Patience and a lot of prayers is the key. and in addition to that, this forum gives you the best support system you'd be needing from this immigration stuff we all have to deal with. goodluck with your application too!
