App was received the 17th for me, so this is exciting news, hope I'm next!

Dansih .. why don't u try both in ecas ?? it really not going to harm .. although in my case , sponsor has last name of 2 words eg :- avneet kaur .. and does n't have first name .. so i entered like avneet kaur .. it worked for me!


if you are using UCI number , then enter sponsor details only , otherwise if using application number then u can use sponsored person details !

Yes I tried both and nothing happened. Maybe it's too soon.

Also out of curiosity, how does one know when their application was received if they didn't use a courier? Just by the date it says it was delivered via your tracking number for the mail?

I used signature system through Canada Post (yes, I sent my app using this piece of s...)

There's no other way.
Only waiting for AoR unfortunatelly.

Altought, my app was signed on march 6 and my AoR came as march 9 (I think it is because 6 was friday). So you can assume they are working on march 10 or something.
I think you can receive some good news on the end of the next week.

When I think of that it comes to my mind that some applications might go through phase 1 (Completeness check according to guide 3900) and get pushed to the queue of phase 2 before other applications even when they have been received later. Thats why some applicants get their AOR before others.

Just a guess!

Mine was signed on Mar 5th. Still waiting for my AOR. A bit anxious when I see first week of March almost near completion in getting AORs.

Of course. It all depends in many factors, like how complicated it is your case, how much work that particular officer has, if there are any issues with the package, etc. etc. People can't expect that a previously married guy bringing in his wife with three kids would take the exact same time as a never married before single guy bringing only his wife.

Applications are different and beyond AOR nothing will be the same for any of us but some rounds and requests, that is why some people get the PR in as little as 6 months and some may take 5 years....
