Hello Toronto, Mississauga,

My status is still stuck at "In process" since June 15. Am I different from everyone else? I've started getting nervous about this.

Hey Lux et Veritas and other GTA applicants,

I think I have been a bit of a lurker for years now! I'm sorry. I want to share my timeline with you guys. So far, my experience has been very positive.

Location: Scarborough
Applied: March 18 - 15 (Xpress)
LOR: May 25 - 15
In Process: July 20 - 15
Test: Oct 7 - 15 (20/20 questions)
Decision Made (eCas) : Oct 10 - 15
Oath: TBD

The test is very easy. Definitely read the book at least twice and practice with as many apps and online tests as you can. My interview was very simple. The officer checked my passport stamps and mentioned the oath letter would be sent to me within 4 months.

I would be very impressed if I can have my citizenship before March 2016. :D

Good luck to everyone out there.

Hey Snaket,
Congratulations!! Wow you're the first GTA March applicant I know of that has done the test:

1) Was your case urgent processing or normal?
2) Did you apply as a family or single?
3) Did you apply with 1095 days exactly or did you have extra days as insurance (i.e. apply after 1100 days +)?

I'm not sure why the rest of us are still waiting but hope to hear soon as my application should be straightforward.

Thanks and congrats.

Hey Lux et Veritas,

Thank you!!! I swear I saw some other GTA applicants from March do the test already but I may be imagining things. If I am the first one, that makes me feel very special then! I'm sure you and the others will get the invite very soon.

To answer your questions; I applied as a regular, single applicant. I had about 1400+ days. It may seem long, however I did apply about a year ago but my app was returned because the fee changed 2 days after I sent my application so I didn't bother applying for a bit.

I hope you guys get your invite soon. I met one other applicant from March at the federal building so I definitely think some apps are moving now. Hang in there!

Cheers!
