March 2015 Citizenship Applicants

Hi everyone

Just popping in... my wife finally met the residency requirements and so sent her application out yesterday March 17... I already got my citizenship last year... I was shocked to the bone to find out it now cost $630 to apply..insane! I paid $200 only about a year ago.... anyways here's hoping the wait is not as long for all... best wishes

It seems that we may start to see AORs arriving as early as next week. Most February applicants have already received theirs. Fingers crossed.

I am not sure whether you noticed that the Feb applicatnts are no longer receiving AORs or not. May be its due to the bad weather, i.e. CIC got closed, or people didn't show up to work. Anyway, I guess we will have to wait and see.

In fact 4 of February applicants received their AOR this week, which is not over yet. Anyway, people reporting their status in this forum is just a small sample of applicants, so you can't jump to a conclusion that AORs are stopped based on what you notice here.

True but this is barely comparable to the week before where 23 applicants received their AORs.

Well, regardless of the how small the sample is we work with what we have got. No one received AOR during the past 2 (or 3) days*. Regardless, the main point of my comment was to doubt that the March applicants will start receiving their AORs early next week---considering the significant delay in issuing AORs for the February applicants. However, I wish I am wrong about that.

sheet and it has almost all turned green, the rate of turning green has reduced coz the number of white spaces is less!!!
hoping that the rate of issuing AOR hasn't reduced at this point!! yes waiting for the AOR, ap recd Feb 26... so...

just a though who cares how many Feb applicants have received their AOR we still have to wait

all the ones that had their PR sent to Nova Scotia knows that it doesn't go by statistics its all Random some march will get it before Feb and after April
this guys work in different ways than everyone

I guess everybody just needs to exercise patience.

1. Reminding everyone that from the CIC website, processing now is 25 months, but realistically, a good number of applications have been processed from start to end, much much less than that.
2. When processing went from 2 years to 1.5 years to 1 year then less than a year, now people are expecting updates not in months or weeks, but days.
3. I'll be lying if I didn't say I am anxious, but being anxious about this, or posting repeated comments on this thread or elsewhere, will not speed up the process, but rather, would cause more anxiety as you read people getting AORs, getting test dates etc.

Let's just be patient and everything will happen in the appropriate time.

I just sent off my application today via courier and the waiting starts. Being from AB I keep reminding myself not to look at the processing times for other province so as not to be disappointed with the lengthy process. ;D
