Sent my application this morning through Canada post Xpresspost.

nice... goodluck to your application

Just trying to help -
One of the tips CELPIP gives you for the test is that you should take notes. I am good at english myself but I did take notes during the exam.
The topics, especially the lengthy 5 min conversations tend to be about absolutely anything - news, biology, eco-recycling, politics - anything!
In that case, it is understandable that one will forget information on a specialized topic.
Anyways in my personal opinion, CELPIP-LS is much easier, faster than IELTS. Compare 1 hour vs 1 day or even 2 days with interview
If you or your spouse plan to take it again then I would strongly recommend doing some practice tests that they have online.
But given that the passing grade is 4 or 5, if your spouse did well on other questions, he should be ok.
Hope it works out

Hello, so my husband took his CELPIP-SL, he said it SUCKED because after listening to 5 mins conversation about a boring topic he already forgot details from the beginning and did not know the answers for the questions...why its computer based, dono...costs 200 dollars for 1 hour exam, so why could not have person to person examiner...this world is crazy...anyways...waiting for results...2-3 weeks , so no idea if we still make it for March...just have to say that I am getting anxious from reading posts on this forum...it seems like Surrey is very slow office and thats where our application will likely end up. I was not caring about the time at all but all of a sudden it hit me, as I am getting closer to applying and I realize that the waiting game will be excrutiating. Just venting my thoughts.

May I ask why he didn't choose IELTS , they accept it even expired , because obviously, if your English is good before you immigrate , it will be much better after staying here for 3 years

When we immigrated, he did not need an English exam, as I was the primary applicant. He never took any formal education in English. Thats why.

Hello everybody,

I submitted my app Jan 05, 2015 and tracked it via Canada Post, it has been received in Jan 08, 2015.

Can anyone please tell me approximately how long it might takes to respond.

They just wanna rip you off bro , anyhow guys , we spent thousands of dollars since we started the immigration process , who cares about couple of dollars :)

It is out for delivery from yesterday! I hope nothing happened to the driver!

:o :o
All hard-earning people do care about couple of dollars. We are spending thousands of dollars on this immigration process where its absolutely needed and not wasted, and still try to save wherever we can.
If you really not care about couple of dollars, i think u should fly there and hand deliver it, i think that would be fastest. 8)

I just sent my application :)

There is a huge difference between being logical and illogical. The difference between couriers are couple of dollars , you can spend that at Tim Horton's . There is something called feasibility studies, you calculate how much will you spend and how much gain will you have back ,but taking a flight to go there , spending hundreds of dollars plus wasting your precious time, that's a lose-lose situation ! ;D

You should not panic, my theory is that the files are evaluated as they come on a date basis, they are all piled up and then placed to a CO's desk, the piles are random so it is quiet possible that someone whose app was received in the middle of the month can get AoR before you. I am in the Feb batch and at least for people in this forum I was first on the list with my application received on Feb 2nd. From the Feb group people whose application was received in the middle of the month started getting AoR's first, I got mine yesterday a full 38 days on the latest so far in the group. The times are decreasing so wait at least a full 48 days based on Jan's average and keep checking your mails. Mar batch should start closer to end of MAR or early APR based on Feb spreadsheet where AoR time frames are now a lot faster.
