Finally! I received this 2 days ago, sending my passport to Ottawa today, since I am currently in Canada!

Ecas was updated to "In process" today. Does this mean they will not request an interview?

And please, anyone, I need some help. I am currently in Canada, so I will send my passport to Ottawa. I instructed the Vienna office so, and send them my Canadian address as mailing address.

My problem is with photos: " Add two (2) recent photographs of yourself, your spouse or common-law partner and dependent children (if applicable).

Follow the instructions provided in the section How to Complete the Forms of the application guide and in Appendix A: Photo Specifications. The application guides may be found on the CIC website at w w w.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/index.asp "

When I go to the link, I find numerous photo specifications. In general, the only difference is head, being 30-35 mm or 31-36 mm. Does anyone know which photo specifications should I use, I really want to send out my passport ASAP.

* - measure between 25mm and 30mm from Chin to Crown
** - have a 35mm x 45mm finished size.

Do you also know do I need to send photographs of my spouse? He is my sponsor, Canadian citizen, so I am assuming there is no need...

So, here's an interesting one... We got the visa and COPR as well as all our photos and supporting documents back from the Canadian Embassy in Manila (CEM) on 13 November via DHL. This morning I got an email from the telling me that the same had been sent via DHL and to expect their arrival soon.

So, the email telling me to expect the package came nearly two weeks after the package itself, which showed up completely unannounced about 3.5 weeks after DM. How odd.

I think CEM has different departments responsible for different stages of the application process. So perhaps the person who has emailed you to inform you of the upcoming package and the person who actually mailed it 3.5 weeks ago are in different departments.

You can go on ECAS to check the process of your application. The link is www.cic.gc.ca/english

At first, I thought you didn't go to the right website. Okay, now I understand that is not the problem. Are you sure you put all the right information inthe website? First, you have to select "Sponsor", then you have to select "Sponsoring spouse outside Canada", and then make sure to use the File Number + the applicant's name and date of birth. If you are using the sponsor's name and date of birth, use the sponsor's UCI number (NOT the file number).

An update here. We have landed in Toronto on December 01, Children went to reception centre and registered for school today, starting school next Wed. Everything went smoothly and everyone is so nice. We are very happy.
