I wonder what exactly is AOR 2 if the fee hasn't been paid, or if they haven't checked the application to see if all documents are there? Why ask for PCC (if not already sent)???? Just why can't they open to see if it's there before sending you AOR2 :
Anyways, congrats. Still 16 of us waiting for SA.

They have a standard letter that they send to everyone. I guess the file doesn't get looked at until it's turn comes working through the backlog.

Also I saw people discussing who will get AOR2? In our case, my wife in India received it in her email account.

I have a question. When the AOR 2 is received is the spouse the only one to receive it? Does the online status for both spouse and applicant change? Is there any action items (things that have to be done) in the letter or is it just informational (standard letter that just says your UCI is this and application number is that)?? Would appreciate any help. Me and my wife are still waiting for AOR 2.

My husband and i applied outlanding sponsorship in March, 2014. My husband is my sponsor, unfortunately he got declined. The reason is CIC says he is receving social welfare and therefore he cant be eligit for sponsor. The thing is he only received social welfare fron 2013 Nov to 2014 Jan. Then he started his current job. There are two things about this case we got cunfused, first he hasnt received any social welfare since Jan 2014, why CIC said he is. Second how long he has to be off the social welfare receiving list would make CIC think he is eligit for being a sponsor.
We are thinking about our next step, we plan to call CIC call center to ask about this social welfare issue, then got proof of he is off the list and he is working on his financial situation to be able to sponsor me. also we are considering to seek for laywer's help...if u have any recommendationms please help.

I believe you have to be off of social assistance for a year before you will be eligible to be a sponsor.

FINALLY GOOD NEWS: I GOT MY SA.

I called CIC this morning and I told the lady on the phone that I wanted to know if I am approved for sponsorship because I didn't get an email from them since last Thursday when I got my AOR.
Then the lady put me on hold for few minutes and then when she came back she told me I have been approved for sponsorship since yesterday and they mail me the letter since yesterday even though they have my email address. She also said the application has been sent to Ottawa Visa office (just like my husband and I predicted).
I AM SO HAPPY. I am also glad that I called them because I was not going to know this until I receive the letter or until they update the ECAS.

Please update my spreadsheet. SA received MAY 14TH, 2014.

It's really bad to hear this. First step would be check with call center and then you always can take help of immigration lawyer..hopefully this will be sort out soon.

Could you please share with your timelines with me? My application was received by CIC-Mississauga on March 14 and I'm still waiting for SA. I called call center and they are saying your application is in process and they are verifying something internally. It might be my welfare record info or anything else..not sure.

It depends. Some people get AOR and SA the same day. Some get SA a day after receiving AOR...etc...for some people it takes a month (if their case is complicated. e.g. they have been recently getting welfare or other problems)
In my case, I got SA 4 days after receiving my AOR.

I will suggest you to take a look at the spreadsheet so you can have an idea of how long it took people to get their SA after getting their AOR. That's what I did.
