what is MP?sorry Mikey, I've been watching your threads because our application received by CPC-M the same as yours, and until now we have not yet receive any e-mail from them.. crossing fingers!!!
My husband( sponsor) told me to be patient, whew!!!

This is a good time to download the CIC pamphlet "How Canadians Govern Themselves" and get a head start on the citizenship test.

MPs are Members of Parliament, they are the elected representatives in the lowest house of government.

AOR received 2 days ago, today I am able to logon to ECAS but just showing application received, still no SA yet. Anxiously waiting!!! :-[

Hello March applicants! I am a bit late to this party but I knew it would be awhile until I heard anything back from Mississauga.
Anyways, I am a Canadian living in Nottingham, UK with my British fiance (we just got engaged, Dec 2013). We have been dating for over two years and plan to be married in Canada in 2016. We have known each other for about 5 years through work and he got a International Experience Visa first, in 2012/13 and I got a two year youth mobility visa in July 2013.

We started all the paper work in January, he went for his medicals mid-late February and we sent the package March 22nd, it was received on the 28th. Checked CIC website this morning and it looks like they are working on March 27th applicants.

I tried to update the spreadsheet but wasn't able to, said I had to PM agarand8 but I am unable to?????

PLEASE HELP!

And GOOD Luck to all :)

Welcome Randidee! We will add you to spreadsheet shortly. Your visa office would be London, correct? And your meds date is feb 22? Ok? As for pm, I think you need more posts. But I have sent her a message as well.

yes, and it's only recommended to contact MPs ONLY if it's been significantly longer than regular processing times that you've heard anything from CIC. Apparently, CIC is obligated to respond to MP requests, and they can get answers *quicker* than applicants and sponsors. It's not to be used just to get regular updates on your status... i would imagine that would annoy them, and eventually they'd stop responding to your requests.

Ok we just checked Ecas as usual and it says Medicals recieved" we are excited but quick question . Does this mean our file has been recieved at Accra ? Or it was updated by Mississauga?

Hi. I might be getting this completely wrong but I thought there will be a different UCI for sponsored person using which we can check status of application at the visa office. I thought this new UCI number will come with AOR2. Am I thinking right?

If yes, then checking Ecas using sponsor's UCI wouldn't tell anything as our sponsorship is approved, so that part is done and dusted?

some visa offices do not send second AORs.

Hi y'all,

I called CIC this morning...and the automated machine asked me for my client ID number and my birth year....after entering them I heard an automated message saying "Your application was received on March 27th" then it said your call is being transfered and the waiting time is 10 min. Once I got to talk to a CIC agent, she told me my application was not received on March 26th but March 27th. She also told me they started to process it this morning.

I hope I will get an AOR and SA soon by email or mail. At least now i am glad that I have a verbal AOR :)

omg omg omg... my husband got his AOR today! FINALLY!!!! only thing is, it confirms they received it on april 14th. so should we be going by that date and change threads/spreadsheets or just stay put in march, since technically it was delivered on march 17th, and it got delayed because of a missing form?!?!

here's hoping SA is soon to follow. i'm so nervous... i'm shaking!!!!

Just to see if I understand correct, it was about two weeks added time for the missing form to be included and new AOR? Congrats either way! Hopefully means ours will be two weeks from tomorrow (we expect them to receive our missing form tomorrow finally).
