Hey guys, I know I already asked this question from another thread but I really have to know ASAP. Do any of you guys sent a scanned application form ? We realized that one of the forms has to have my signature (Sponsor) and my wife's signature(applicant) and it will take again another 5-7 business days if she will send it through snail mail. Thank you in advance!

Have you already sent your application and you just realized this afterwards, or has CIC requested that you send them this form?

If this is just a mistake that you realized now, there's nothing that you can do. You can not mail extra forms afterwards before you have received AOR or SA from CIC and even then unless there is a change of information of some sort you are generally instructed to not send anything until you are specifically asked for it.

If they have requested this updated form from you then you can scan and e-mail them the document AND mail them the original. Let them know in the e-mail that you have mailed the original to them and which day they can expect to receive it.

Unfortunately if one of your forms was missing a signature or something it's possible that around the 30 day mark instead of getting AOR you will get your application returned to you. It sucks but it's life. I believe that I made a fatal error as well preparing my application and I am waiting to see if next week I receive the application back to me or if I receive AOR.

Not necessarily. They *may* send a request to fix the mistake first, and give you a specific grace period before sending back your application. They sent us a letter because we forgot a form, and they said after 45 they will return our application. Depending on the information they need, they give 30, 45, 60 and possibly 90 days. (from what i've read from other posts).

So today was the 34th day, and I still haven't gotten aor or sa yet, so I'll definitely call them tomorrow.

they will update tomorrow so you can tell if your date has elapsed , they are working on application recieved on 21st so hopefully it will be your turn by tomorrow or next week latest. It doesn't hurt to call though. At least they may give you a temporary file number like they did with us. All the best

That's good that they did that for you. I have also heard stories of people getting their application returned over one piece of paper. Which is why I said that it's possible that it would get returned. There doesn't seem to be any consistency, it will depend which person processes your application and what kind of a mood they're in.

I don't recommend that you send a scanned copy of the form, I think you should wait until she sends you the original.

I agree, to be on the safe side, don't scan anything. Just wait for the original document.

Yeah - I take back my original statement I thought the person asking had already sent in the whole application and was just sending an extra document to Mississauga!

You aren't a week late, they increased the processing time to 34 days and they are currently processing applications around the time that yours was received. Hopefully you hear something by the end of the week.

My bad you have been waiting like 41 days. But how can the processing times be accurate then? "Working on applications received march 20th" which was 42 days ago yet they say processing time should be 34 days? Nice math CIC.

Even if I call them and they just say I got SA and a temporary case #, I'm happy already. Today is 34th day for me.
