Hello agarand8,
I saw that you copied the bottom information (averages,...) from the february spreadsheet that I edit, and I'm so glad! ;D
Just as an advice, I would change who can edit it. I don't want to think what it would happened if some evil person delete or change some things...
Oh I didn't do that. I haven't offered to be in control of the spreadsheet. I thought the averages thing was cool though. I probably could keep the spreadsheet updated if it really needs an admin. I was looking at some spreadsheets from last year and was wondering if people just stop coming onto the forum or if immigration was really working that slowly cause there seemed to be a lot of people not updated past the SA stage. Could be a bit of both I suppose. lol

Yeah that would be nice for you. We applied for a TRV for my husband back when we were only boyfriend/girlfriend, he is too poor. No "good" job, no property, no money in the bank, doesn't speak English. So it got denied and even though we will be apart for our anniversary, and the birth of our first child...I'm not going to bother. It will be a lot of work and getting hopes up just to be told no again. We have been long distance for more of our relationship than we have been together, it's disappointing but really no point in getting upset over that which you cannot control. I hope you get it, though. Your wife is in the phillipines, right? So you are much farther apart and travel is a lot more costly. Would be nice if she could come here.

Where are you from in Canada? I'm bringing my tropical, Costa Rican husband to the frigid cold winters of Saskatchewan. hahaha We'll see if he thinks it's the much promised "better life" after he's been here through February. hahahaha.
Ahhhhhh!! How is this OK?? The Canadian immigration system really is a bit too "tough" sometimes. :(

I don't understand why someone who is eligible for PR is really going to choose to come to Canada on a TRV and stay there illegally not being able to WORK, when they could just do it all above board.

Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrggg!!!!!

Yup. I think for the most part we have this majority conservative gov't to thank. It made me so angry that they allowed the workers to strike last year, quit being so greedy, right?!
It's def about money, like I said my husband is really poor, and a big part of the TRV is showing that you have enough money to afford to come to Canada for the alloted timeframe. So because he didn't have any money I said that I would pay for everything. Didn't matter. If you're not going to contribute to the economy, you'll never be a priority to harper, it's really frustrating, but what am I supposed to do? I already vote in elections and I sure as hell did not vote for him. lol.

Yep yep yep! Whenever my dad calls me to ask about how our papers are coming along, he always goes into some long rant about Harper and his immigration "reforms". Don't even get me started on everything else Harper is up to..

We applied for a TRV for my husband last year, too! They had a special box to tick for him, though. Right at the bottom it was checked "other" and then written something along the lines of "due to the situation in Syria, we don't think you'll go back." If you read through the threads here, you'll see it's nearly impossible for the spouse of a Canadian to get a TRV. Why? Because they have "close family ties" to Canada, and therefore will choose to stay forever illegally.

I have a German friend here who got his wife's residency in a MONTH. I asked him if they expedited his paperwork due to the situation over here, and he just looked at me blankly and said "No.. she's my wife.." Yup. That sure would make sense, wouldn't it?

Oh my god don't even get me started! The amount of people who are just clueless about the struggles of getting through immigration can just be frustrating.... allllllll the time I get people asking me "why isn't Gerald here yet" "Isn't it like, really easy to bring him here now that you're married?" "He's going to be here for the childbirth, right?" and then "Oh my god why not?!" I feel like I have to explain how immigration works, to every single person I know. It can just be so exhausting. And then you have that guy, ONE MONTH. Omg if we got PPR this time next month I'd be like... what's the catch? lol

Hello Steler,

i am the one guilty of the copy. yes it is from your feb 2014 spreadsheet. i liked the avgs thing.

I agree some one should start administering. but i also think google doc has a revert to previous feature against accidental damages.

thanks
KanSri

All visa offices may not have spreadsheets. Besides, we have a good group here, so stay with our March group. I will make tea for us.

I noticed that one of the other spreadsheets ordered the spreadsheet by visa office (I think there is a simple way to do that) so it would be easier to compare the timings though, of course, every case is unique so it might cause more frustration than it is worth.
Any thoughts on that?

I am happy with the spreadsheet either way. Not sure if many of us are going through Paris from this month or not. Seems to be 2 so far?
