Congrats! How did you do it why you got visa so fast?hmmmmmit took only 4 months for you?
thanks! i have NO idea how it got approved so fast, nor was i expecting it to happen so quick! apparently my application was straight forward enough and the issues i thought would come up didn't! Ottawa seems to be spitting out approvals at ridiculous speed. Currently May applicants are getting DM too!!!! I am certainly not complaining.

Also, i think it's important to remember the posted processing times are stats from when there was a strike, so it would make sense the processing time would be higher during that time. I really don't think what is posted is an accurate picture of the true process. Either way, something has seriously stirred the pot when it comes to procesing 2014 applications. There are many VOs speeding up. Perhaps they want the next set of stats to be better than last years?

Nice, congrats! Also congrats to rhcohen for her COPR.

Now it looks like obviously, all the Sydney/USA applicants have at least got their DM or COPR, and the next line of people to get PPRs are the Manila people. You see guys? Even though Manila has a 14 month processing time, you can speed that time up considerably if you have a solid application.

But I know Singapore applicants will be near the bottom of the race to get PR :(

Not all Sydney applicants have DM or COPR I am still waiting on PPR!

Hi everyone just got an e-mail today from Manila visa office requesting me to send my police check from China where i previously resided 2 years ago and to pay for my landing fee. Initially I submitted the police check from China but it was almost a year old from the date it was issued. My worry is from the e-mail they never said what was wrong with the police check but just asked me to send one. Reading I saw that the police check should not be more than 3 months old. I just requested one from china and hope I am doing the right thing. I also presume asking me to pay the landing fee means everything is ok with my application package. Need your advice and comments

sweetiepie46, If you want to know how long it usually takes to process applications at the Manila VO, you can joint the Manila spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AiqQW9CdV8Q_dGNKMzZPT2laaVRvQm1NMGhkaERFUHc#gid=0). There is also Manila English Spreaking thread which I find useful.

it depends on the visa office. for me, i received my PPR before changing to "in process". For others, it's the opposite. So the best way to know is to check out the thread specific to your VO and see what the "trend" is.

Well, for the Manila VO, most people are getting passport request 6 months after the submittion of the application. But since there aren't many people who send application to the Accra VO, it is hard to get an idea of how long it takes. According to the cic website (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp) it takes 15 months for the Accra VO, but that may not be accurate. That website also says the Manila VO takes 14 months, which it certainly does NOT.

Bottom line, just be patient. Hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

I think Accra receives alot , it may not be as many as Manila etc. Nigerians go through Accra as well . I just checked and it seems to differ from applicant to applicant. Some for both same day, some three weeks, 1 month. That's the trend for 2014 so we are hoping and praying . Thank you
