I called the cic office .... A/c to the agent, my file was transferred to the local office (Scarborough) on 26th of August (today)

my questions"

1- How long will it take until it gets to the local office

2- How long will the local office take to issue the test notice for me?

Any inputs???

Hello Nomi2012:


It takes approximately 2 weeks for transfer.

You can expect Test Letter by September 15th.

You can expect Test Date by end of September or before October 15th for sure.

Scarborough and Mississauga are the fastest local offices in the country.

Citizenship applications are processed in 6 to 7 months now in these offices.

Got the invite to write the test yesterday. It was sent out on the 25th Aug 2014.

Received Disappeared : 07 Aug 2014
Office : Scarborough

I have lived in mississauga canada for the past 3 yrs and 10 months and have not left the country at all
Applied for citizenship on 27th march 2014
We sent ur aor and discover canada book on 4th April 2014
We started processing ur application on June 5th 2014
Received line disappeared on 26th August 2014
RQ received on 28th august2014
Any idea how long RQ takes now

What is your nationality or background?

What type of immigration did you enter Canada? Skilled worker? Etc?

The address on rq is from Mississauga so my local office is that I suppose
I am a pakistani but was born in Middle East
My spouse came on federal skilled worker and I accompanied him

Ah that's unfortunate. I got a fingerprint request so don't know how long that will delay things too.
Did your spouse get the RQ?

Sometimes I feel that there is a quota they have to meet for the "secondary screening" and people are selected at random.

Just concerned about my rq

Called CIC today and my application arrived at local office in Vancouver on July 29, 2014.

Let's cheer for the West, hopeful for a test date in the next month or so !!!!

first of all - send all RQ documents as soon as possible. (if it was not sent yet). and make sure you present them nice.

second of all, chances are you might get an interview date before they review your RQ. so sit tight and these days reviewing RQ is pretty fast compared to last couple of years.
