Same here, I applied at the beginning of March and the received line is still there.

Is this the 'Received' status line on the first page or the first received sentence when you click on 'in progress' status link?
First page received status is gone for me but I don't think the received sentence will go away on the next page.

Bill C-24 has got Royal Assent today. Do you think our applications will be returned back without processing ?

CIC received our applicants in March before the bill is passed. I am worried now!

No need to worry. The minister clearly said that we will be judge on the current law and not the new law.

Received link on the first page disappeared some time around end of May.
Local office will be Mississauga. I called CIC today and the agent told me that the file is in transit from Sydney to Mississauga office.

About bill C-24, the agent said there is no change that will take immediate effect. So there will not be any impact on the applications that are already in process.

Agent said, from February 6th, number of people applying for citizenship have gone up.

CIC has been flooded with applications since Feb 6th.

I wonder when March guys with get Test dates ? :-X

That is really good you got the FP this early. In my case it took almost 10 months for them to send me the request from Edmonton.

They have doubled the processing fees since feb 6th. So they should be able to handle the additional volume.

It also includes applications mailed before Feb. 6 with the old fee but arrived in CIC after Feb 6. and were returned since new fee applies. Resending those applications will add up to the volume after Feb. 6th.
