Hello,

I have a question regarding the timeline for someone who is visa-exempt:
My file changed status Nov. 27 to "in process". That is when I received the email from the lawyer with medical request and biodata form. I completed my medicals and all other forms and sent it back Dec. 2. Lawyer said they would pay the outstanding fees. All other documents (IELTS results, police clearances etc.) had already been submitted with the initial application in February/March. Just before Christmas I received my copy from the doctor's medical results. I assume CIC had them at the same time or even earlier as they would have been uploaded. Status is still "in process" which is understandable with the holiday season.

I would just like to know if I would receive something from CIC directly or my lawyer would? I understand that after "decision made" the final step is to land, am I missing something?

Am going to US anyway in January/February/March and also to Europe in early February. So I'll just use one of those trips to land, depending on when I receive the request from CIC.

Also, just wanted to double-check that there won't be any problems from the time landing to the time I receive the PR card. My passport is EU and my work permit is valid until end of 2014. So I take it I can just keep entering and exiting with this even after I have landed and PR card has not yet arrived, right? If not, I would hold off landing until March as I don't anticipate to leave Canada during April/May.

Does anybody have any insight?

You will next see ecas change to decision made.
Then your lawyer will receive your confirmation of pr
After you've landed you can come in and out of Canada on your passport - just bring your COPR as well as your work permit it invalidated after you land for the first time as a pr

I am March 8th and is waiting as well, so there are still a few of us out there. I am sure there are others from February still waiting as well, so we will need to start reading novels or somthing to keep our minds at peace until....

it may not change at all - it depends on how good the VO is at updating their database!
mine didn't change for over a week and then it went in to In Process.

I send them the biodata back all it needed was the name, height and eye color thats it? seems kinda silly when they have your pictures and everything. I just need to do emedicals which i set up an appointment for 6 days from now and need to pay for rprf.

Any idea how long it takes AFTER we send them these three things?

I read the mail many times. But except for two photos and passports, there is nothing. They did mention that, i have already paid the RPRF fees. I did get a request for RCMP in Nov. At that time along with finger prints, even my height and eye color were noted and captured in the report . May be they have that from the RCMP report and so did not request a Bio-Data ?

Any ideas .
