I already emailed CIC 2 months back and below was the response

Good Day,
Thank you for your email and for the information.
As they were not yet requested, receipt of your medicals will be confirmed in due course
Thank you for your patience.
Best regards,
Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa

I have emailed them again last week. Let's see if there is any positive response.

For you, how do you know they added the medicals to your file? Can you please paste the response you got from CIC?

As long as you have the receipt it doesn't matter if they are added to your file straight away. They will be in the system and when you receive your MR, just send the receipt in and they will be able to pair them up.

Hey guys,

I wanted your advice on my issue. I applied for my PR under CEC in March 2013 and i received my AOR on May 8th. I wanted to know as to how can i apply for my GCMS or is it a service provided by CIC?

Any Help would be appreciated.

so there is no problem with upfront medicals... ::)
is your criminality and security done?

When do you guys think is the best time to apply for GCMS? Is it worth doing when still at the Application Received stage as most of us from March still are?

Id say yes!, and someone is bound to shoot me down :D
If I had time id dig through the forum and get the applicants name, there WAS a case very recently with a 'Application received' status and Eligibility was showing cleared!

So yeah why not

I would say probably not if it's only out of curiosity:

- you are so early into your application, I would only apply if you're getting close to medical request and are concerned you might run into issues

- it uses up resources that could be elsewhere - CIC has to check each gcms report to make sure it doesn't contain any info you can't access (security for example). Since there is a strike, this could impact other areas.

I would apply in September and see where you are in the 6 month mark

Hope this helps :-)

So guys, What is the Process after we received the AOR.

waiting, waiting and then some more waiting... :P but aside from that, it would be medical request, RPRF fee payment, bio data confirmation, security check by CSIS, passport request and COPR. lastly, you would need to do the landing part - thats if you passed all the other stages. :D

What is GCMS?

Hi, what is this application about, do we all need to apply such? Please kindly advise.

In my case I have send all the forms and supporting documents. I have also send my police check as well. I am waiting for the med check notice. I have submitted on 4 March 2013 and got the AOR on 17 April 2013.

What is landing?? do I need to do something on that?

thanks to share

Global Case Management System. It's basically an online system for case files e.g. CIC immigration applications. If you wish to see what kind of processing your application has gone through, you can order GCMS files (optional)

landing means when you officially enter Canadian soil with your Confirmation of PR document.

Hi There,
thanks so much.

Another thing, I have got my AOR on 4 April 2013 on it, is says the
"Your application will be forwarded to a visa office for further processing.

Any future correspondence should be sent to the visa office as indicated on your application. Your reference (application) number is located below the date of this letter. You must quote this reference number in any future correspondence."

But I can not see where they have indicated this address, anyway, I have then send my police check to sydney and I have got a conformation it has been received by them. Are they going to send them to Ottawa Visa office. It was a hell to get all the documents and I do not what to lost them. Where can I check for this?

I am in Canada now already, I have applied when I am in. Do you mean I will need to get out of country and get back again after I have got the confirmation of PR?
