Thank you so much! :) I will give them a call tomorrow, I tried just now and I guess it's too busy. Thank you! :) And here I am again, hoping to get good news :(

They've already opened my application because I already received my AOR and according to the email they got my app on the 19th of March . I wished we had the same case. I really do. :( I called them on the 31st of April, they sent an email to Mississauga on my behalf and said that I was past the processing date. The call center told me it wouldn't be until after 3 months before they could send another inquiry for me.

Then it is MP time...

I'm Sorry but what did you mean by MP time?

Contact your Member of Parliament and ask them to look into it. They can find out what the hold up is. The fact that CIC is outside their allowed times means you MP can inquire on your behalf. You can find who yours is here:

http://www.parl.gc.ca/Parlinfo/Compilations/HouseOfCommons/MemberByPostalCode.aspx?Menu=HOC

This might be the best route as CIC doesn't seem to be answering your inquiries to your satisfaction.

Thank you so much. I'll call them right away. I'm not sure where you got the info, but thank you! :) And sorry if I have so many questions, but what exactly do MPs do?

Hey kimnavarro if ur sponsor cannot meet financial help they dnt approve the sponsorship and that might be an option why ur case is delaying so much and one other thing is some people here have got mail in spam folders so u first checkur spam folder it might be there and thn call cic if ur deadline of 28-30 day is already passed :-) god bless you, have faith... Dnt lose paitence...

Just to clear things up, you don't need to meet any financial requirements if you're sponsoring a spouse without any dependents.

It's going to be 2months on the 19th. :( Do you know any other reasons for the delay?

If I were you, I'd call them up. My buddy who applied a couple months earlier than me called them 'cause he hasn't received any SA email or snail mail. The guys from Immigration told him he was approved about a month prior to the phone call.

Ohh Im sorry kjocson I thought tagalog are welcome here but anyways how to message nickann?thank you :)

Hi kenth11, got it up for you, been catching up on the spreadsheet, just got back from vacation a few days ago. Welcome to the waiting game. ;D

If anyone else needs to be updated and I missed the post, please email the info to me and I'll get it up ASAP :)

Yes, this is right, the sponsor need not meet some financial requirements. My wife, the sponsor, doesn't have a job and we're not even in Canada, but she got approved as a sponsor in 21 days. I think they are still evaluating if the relationship is genuine, but would it not be the job of the Visa Office?

Yes, I believe that's the Visa Office's job. CIC might've sent his SA email to the wrong email add(This has happened to a couple of my buddies who went through spousal sponsorship). I say kim should give 'em a call, since it's been past the 28 days processing time for SA.

Jz checked CIC website.. Processing time for CEM from 12mos changed to 14mos. :( haaizzzz... More waiting for us.
