How would they check the applications? Would they call our family, employer or the references included in the applications? Would they call the sponsor even if he is in an opposite time zone with mississauga? How would they check if the photos are genuine and not edited? So many questions in my mind now :

I don't think they'd go as far as calling your family or your employer, since we already provided them with our Notice of Assessment / Option C from CRA. They do that just to make sure you're not on welfare. About your other questions, I'm really not sure how they'll do that, but edited photos are pretty easy to tell apart from real ones, so that should be pretty obvious. I think you should loosen up a bit tho, cause stressing yourself out with all these questions that we can't really do nothing about is pretty pointless. All we can do right now is hope for the best. Let's hope CEM speeds up their process just like how CIC did.

Hello. Here are my answers to your questions.

1. Yes you need to have a Medical Exam right before you send the application. It must be included in your application kit and it is also written in the checklist. You must complete the checklist before sending it to avoid delays.
As for IMM 1017, you can print out Appendix C. You can find it online. You can google appendix C.

You wouldn't get the form IMM1017 right away. As soon as you have scheduled your medical examination. You will have to bring Appendix C. Then as soon as your husband have finished the medical exam. After the tests and results they will give you the form. That would now be FORM IMM1017 with the client biodata. That's the form he'll include as medical exam in the app kit.

I advise you to have the medical examination last since it has an expiration date. You can check St. Lukes Extension Clinic for the required docs needed and fees as well.

Sadly I can't answer question number 2 since. But I think it is automatic because MA is not acceptable as a name in Canada.


3. Yes it is okay to print and fill out the application form by hand. It would be your choice. But for me it is easier by hand. I advise you to have a draft first in filling out forms. To avoid re-writing all over again if you happen to make mistakes. Lastly you can check the guides in filling out the application form on cic website.

I think you have to obtain an Affidavit of Discrepancy in name stating that MA + your name and Maria + your name are the same person.

In some cases, people don't get AOR or they accidentally delete the e-mail. So long as you're not on welfare, you'll get SA for sure!

They don't check if all papers are correctly filled, that nothing's missing ? I think I checked everything 10 times before sending
and I did copy of all my papers I sent, copy of all pictures, copy of all supporting documents.... and every day
I think and check everything again on my copies I have here. Never thought that this process would be so stressful. I always think
what if I forgot something..

I put hundreds and hundreds of hours into that, filling all papers. I love my wife with all my heart. We fit perfectly together, and thinking that
our dream could turn into a nightmare because someone that we don't know, that never saw us together, could reject our dream...that worries me
very much !

Lets pray for AOR this coming week and SA in the next week. After will be CSQ from Quebec and we'll wait for Havana's answer after that. Hope everything will
go fast and well, so I can live normal life with the woman I love the most on earth !

Of course they do, I was just emphasizing on the worrying about income part. DW you'll get your AORs and SAs soon, for sure!

From what i heard, some people do early endorsement of their marriage certificate so they won't need to wait 3-6 months (usual length of wait) till MC is available at NSO and ready to be printed on NSO paper.

Hi sis. When your application reach later than the processing time they posted on CIC website, you can start calling them. Are you over 28 days since your app was received in CPC-M?

yes, its over 28 days na..according to canadapost they received our application last march 21st pa..i really hope na they sent out a letter for SA to him, he can't be able to check his mailbox thou, and we have to wait till he gets back to canada to call them up..
